Life isn't as bad as we think it is I guess.
This was our last intramural competition, as we are the school leaving batch. For those who don't know, intramural competition in a school means team games played between sections of standards. So as of class 12, we (the girls team, the boys played well but didn't qualify) were finalists for both handball and throwball (this was the first year of throwball). Now the thing is, this is the first time, Humanities girls team of our school came to the finals. (Also remember in our school only one section is there for humanities, science have 7 sections, commerce have 2).
Let me explain the game. Class 12 sections play against each other and then one team goes into the finals and same happens for class 11. Now the finalist of class 12 and class 11 compete against each other in the finals.
Literally, every teacher other than the humanities department teachers hates us. Like infront, they are very nice but behind, they try to find loopholes and try to down us. So very predictably, they wanted us to lose. Now now now, for throwball, we had a match with 11 commerce B. We won. The throwball winner comes into the little family of humanities. The handball match, we had it against 11 Humanities A. They won. The winner still came into the family of humanities.
Now why I'm sharing all this ? Because I love my team.
I couldn't play this year because of my broken finger (if I tried I could've but my mother didn't let me). I was heartbroken. So apparently I thought I'm not a participant and just an audience. But you know what I found out today ? My team kept my name in the team. I was surprised. They said that they kept me as a substitute, even when they knew I couldn't play. I also got appreciation certificates and prizes because of them. I was included in all the pictures. I got to hold all the trophies (flex time : our team got many trophies). This is what sports is I guess. This is what love is.
Edit : I couldn't play but I screamed and cheered for my team so hard, all the students of the opponent teams became so scared they couldn't cheer anymore.
