I must admit that before I was told about Nightrunner, I hadn't even imagined something so wonderful could exist in this day and age. Thanks to friends and recommendations I've discovered a new world and I enjoy sharing it with others. People seem reluctant at first, and I've been told once or twice that it's because they're not comfortable with non-con. And I'm like, why would I read or recommend non-con?! "Oh, so the ones you read are not like that?" I feel so lucky.
See that’s the thing though. I had no idea queer characters could be in books until I was 21, but when I found out these books existed, I searched for more because I genuinely wanted to read more??
But these people, instead of actually going ‘oh these books exist lets see what else is there’, they decide to instead preach absolute bullshit thats not even true, and with such absolute confidence! And that makes people who don’t actually read queer books go ‘oh i had no idea, all queer books are horrible abominations written by straight girls better steer clear’ and that shit makes so me fucking angry!!! They’re literally hurting the authors writing the books they claim they want to exist!!! Fucking hell, stop this shit!!!!!!

I dont read much fantasy (idk the genre doesnt appeal much to me) so from what I’ve read, I adore Lynn Flewelling and Nightrunner and Tamir Triad <333 also is Six fo Crows fantasy bcs if yes then Leigh Bardugo bcs seriously those books are incredible

I dooooooooooooooooooooooo. If you chose right music, the experience is so much better. When Im outside I always have my phone and when im reading in my bed, I tend to just put on any Sleeping at Last playlist bcs that group is INCREDIBLE go listen to it nooow

I usually read from 4pm till I fall asleep which is. Late. After midnight. I pretty much pulled all-nighter to read Spectred Isle lmao
