that comment about how you should not borrow grief from the future has saved me multiple times from spiraling into an inescapable state of anxiety. like every time i find myself thinking about how something in the future could go wrong i remember that comment and i think to myself: well i never know, it might get better. it might not even happen the way i think it will and if it does happen and it is sad and bad ill be sad about it then, when it happens. and it’s somehow soo freeing

Shoutout to fanfiction WIPs. I love reading them and as much as fun it is to have a 20k dropped at once and your evening is gone what I really love about fanfiction is when it's dropped chapter by chapter and when it updates you can have a little treat. A way to live in that world the author created for weeks or months or years. Where would we be without our favorite wips that give us the reason to get up from bed because you get to read one chapter of your fave fic. (either in your morning commute or leaving it for later when you had a bad day and then there's at least fanfic to read). Truly underappreciated art nowdays I think. Now that you read this post go and comment on your fave ongoing/work in progress fanfic. "But I already commented" comment again there's surely things you can notice upon a reread.
