Moon Pixel Open-Mic Returns
Dear magical moon pixies,
I apologize for not hosting a Moon Pixel Open-Mic on September 30th. My mother fell ill and was hospitalized. She’s recovering now. Prayers, positive thoughts, moon dust blessings are welcomed right now. They are appreciated. Moon Pixel will return on October 28th, 2016 at Half Off Books. We plan on starting at 7PM; sign up sheet will go up no later than 6:30. Musicians are ALWAYS welcomed but acoustic only no plug-ins. I hope October blesses you all with a gentle embrace and see you soon.

Moon Pixel’s January Feature + Open-Mic
Moon Pixel Open-Mic will be back at Half Off Books in Whittier, CA. This Friday January 29th, 2016 join us as we celebrate our one year anniversary with you. Sign-up list goes up no later than 6:30 P.M. and closes when all the moon beam magic begins at 7. Moon Pixel gives everyone the equal opportunity to perform for 3-5 minutes. We welcome acoustic musicians, comedians, poets, magicians, story-tellers, and all. For a year Moon Pixel has been striving to create a safe and healthy local artistic community where people can inspire, support, and respect one another.
This month’s feature for Moon Pixel Open-Mic will be Terry Wright.
Terry Ann Wright’s chapbook Nature Studies was published by Sadie Girl Press in 2015; the title poem was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her poetry is forthcoming in Ekphrastic California and Chiron Review, and has appeared most recently in Angel City Review, Carnival, East Jasmine Review, and the anthologies Spectrum: 140 SoCal Poets and Like a Girl: Perspectives on Feminine Identity. An editor at Lucid Moose Lit, she spends her days ridding the world of comma splices, one college freshman at a time, and nights planning food-based road trips and sometimes writing.
