A little list of solarpunk things to do.
Find a local organization to volunteer for (the Samaritan Scout is a good resource for this).
Donate your old books to a Free Little Library.
Join your local community garden/artist group/hiking club/school club and meet the people who live nearby.
Read a reconstructive/revised history book that might give you a new perspective from what you were taught in school.
Guerilla gardening. So much to get into here.
Visit your local museums and historical societies. Support them, show interest. Never forget your history.
Write kind and positive notes on some scrap paper and hide them around places you support like small businesses. Make sure its appropriate. Don't put them in places where they would not be wanted.
Make a list of food banks, homeless shelters, and other places of support for houseless people. Write down the address and do your research. Write down their address and how to access them, then place these flyers around where people in need can find them, or hand them out with food/water/socks/et cetera.
Check out the punk scene in your area, if there is one. Get involved in connecting the community.
Stop participating in that which you don't support (to the best of your ability). Nestle, for example. Farmer's markets are a good alternative for food, if they are available. Here is the National Farmer's Market Directory for anyone based in the US.
Upcycle: here's a cosmos board for some ideas. I will continue to update it. DIY is a big part of punk.
Go to a town hall meeting.
Pick up some trash.
If you live in an area without a lot of recycling, see go to your local recycling center.
Learn how to organize a protest.
Help maintenance things in your neighborhood. Make sure that this is legal, don't trespass onto property and start painting someone's bench without permission or anything.
Go to a First Aid class so you can help in emergencies.
Learn how to distill water. It could be important in the near future.
Attend or organize a repair cafe/fair.
Make a list of your native plants and their uses to share amongst any gardeners you know. Check out the Plants For a Future database.
Organize a little party. Joy is a fundamental part of life, and if you can provide that to your support network, it could strengthen. Celebrate the wins when they appear. Some ways to celebrate can be: gift-giving, cooking with one another, going out dancing, a movie party, etc.
Put up flyers! For literally anything that interests you, for any group you are prepared to make, so on.
Compliment people in public. Its brief, usually insignificant if someone isn't interested in talking to you, and can help you overcome social anxiety if you are interested in that. It also spreads positivity.
Set up a nature walk with your friends.
Go out and interview people if you have the access to do so. It can help you get an idea of what the primary issues people in your community are concerned with. It can help you learn the oral history of the land.
Preserve your local cryptid legend. This one is just fun.
Pick up your local newspaper. See what's being highlighted in your town by it.
Make or contribute to a community bulletin board.
