I loved how they manipulated the fairy tale to fit the whole witch thing.

Their mother was a White Witch(good witch) and their father was a farmer. Their father had left Hansel and Gretal in the woods so they wouldn't get caught up with the town burning their mother and to get them away from the witch that was after Gretal's heart. After a while the two ventured through the woods and found a house made of candy. The doors opened to darkness and they walked in and were attacked by an ugly witch. She had locked up Hansel and was using Gretal as leverage to make Hansel eat candy to fatten him up. Eventually, Gretal got a hole of the keys to her shackles and unlocked herself as the witch pulled Hansel out of his cage. Witch noticed and tried to use a spell on Gretal, but it didn't do anything. Gretal stabbed the witch(a little much for an eight year old) and Hansel put the witch in the oven to burn. And thus their adventure began as witch hunters!
