In this story Jason takes a trip to a massive domed city made to have eternal night life, he quickly devles into it's depths to find where those who've lost everything stay, prisoners to their debts.

Scene 1:

Jason arrives in the city on his motorcycle. The streets are filled with bright lights and various entertainment outlets all beckoning for his attention. The city is domed off, leaving it in an eternal artificial night one without any stars in the sky.

Jason continues his drive as he goes deeper into the city. Ending up in the back end; here lights were dim and flickering. If the vibrant strip of hotels and casinos was the commercial district this was the residential district, where the forgotten people who have lost all they had to the city reside.

Jason approaches a motel and pays for a room. He enters it, shockingly clean. He doesn’t need rest despite the long drive, only a place to hide while he hunts for a person.

Jason (Internally):

This place has got to be the closest thing to hell I’ve seen. Every light is artificial.

Two guards coax a stubborn bull of a farmhand into a well-deserved break.

“Does he seem weird to you?”

In the early evening hours as the coast winds down, hazy sunlight bathes the world in gold. The tall grass tickles Reese and Remi’s ankles as they walk up to the barn. The scent of hay and sun-warmed leather greets them in familiar welcome. “Vince, I mean. Doesn’t he seem…" “Uncomfortable.” Remi nods. “Yes! Uncomfortable. Tense.” 

Out in the field past the worn fenceposts, Vince stands up halfway and leans against the rake, swiping the back of a hand against his forehead and pushing hair off his face. He looks tense – more so than usual, even, which says something. All 6-foot-much of Vince tends to be a bit locked up and drawn in sometimes, tough and sturdy. Reese usually just figures he’s still warming up to them. Vince is something simple and kind and closed off all at once. But now, it seems a bit more than that, like something’s bothering him.

Secco: We could bolt him the table.

Doppio is the one who is going to be calling the guard squad to tell them that someone is trying to blackmail him! He lets them take care of it.

Squalo freaks out. Oh no! Somebody is threatening his integrity and the boss’s! He’s about to give into the blackmail when Tiziano steps in all like, “Oh, you got that stupid email too?? Delete it”

Tiziano is very perceptive and calls the bluff right away. Nobody would know Diavolo’s identify, like, not even HE knows.

Cioccolata is shameless, there’s literally no blackmail in the world that would make him do anything… if the blackmail were about him. He adores Diavolo and his evil tendencies, he can’t compromise the boss’s safety! But… he just finds a way to kill whoever sent the blackmail anyway.

Secco is borderline illiterate and doesn’t understand what the fuck this email says! Is this mysterious person going to send him a black envelope?? Ignores it, straight into the spam it goes!

Doppio: we’re going with @moody-bloosh s headcanons here that baby/toddler Doppio carries around a frog plush and will answer it when it ‘rings’. Just listen to his nonsense babble and act all serious when you answer, it’ll make him belly laugh harder than you thought a guy that little could manage. He’s the sweetest of the bunch, though he gets a bit of a temper if people try to take him out of your arms.

Cioccolata: Follows you around asking totally hypothetical questions like, “if I hit you really hard with a hammer, what would you do?” And defends himself with “I’m just curious... ‘m not gonna do it.” And you can’t trust him alone with animals, or anyone smaller than him. It won’t end well. If you obviously don’t like the questions he asks, he’ll shift the hypothetical person to be someone else, someone old, he says. “Why not? They’re gonna die anyways.” He doesn’t understand why you tell him he can’t say that.

Secco: Acts the same as ever tbh, except now it’s less disturbing and more cute since he isn’t a grown ass man. He’s a master of manipulation, and will zero in on whatever methods get you to give him candy. Whether it be crying, threats, being a good boy, he’ll do it as long as he gets what he wants out of it. Sneaky little bastard. Just try to get on his good side before someone else starts bribing him, because he’ll bite you in a heartbeat if they ask.

Tiziano and Squalo: you know those stories about kids who get ‘married’ on the playground? That’s these two. They can sit enraptured in conversation with each other for hours, one of them talking about something that interests them (sharks, their favorite foods, a really cute cat that Tiziano saw yesterday) while the other sits in awe, fully at attention as they lay all over each other. They’re pretty low matinence and obedient as long as you don’t seperate them. If you do however, Squalo sulks and pouts while Tiziano will bribe Secco to bite you at every opportunity.

Carne: the child stands at your doorway at 3am. “Did you have a nightmare?” You ask, no answer. He refuses to come in, he refuses to leave. You try to go to sleep, but when you open your eyes he’s closer. Staring, grinning with far too many teeth, they can’t all possibly be his.. but during the day he’s fine. A bit shy, doesn’t talk much, but he loves to help you cook when he can.
