I know the saying is “Let me be great!” but I really feel myself thinking “Let me be trite!” as of late. For if, as a writer, a creator not born at the beginning of time (and what indeed a privilege that is), I have to be base before I can be transcendent, I must be cliche before I can be profound, well then let me get through all of the valleys and peninsulas of being not-that-tight before I can be a whole ‘nother level. I am compelled to add “GTFO my, GTFOMD” but in truth there is no one on my “D”, in this way, and really it is my own fear of failure which needs to be told to GTFOMD and to let me trite so that i may be(come), may fulfill being, great.
