Goliath having to touch her! Touch a part of her she didn't have before! Like. Immediately! is AMAZING! And how guilty he looks when he realizes he's done it.

It's like he's realizing for the first time that Elisa is a woman. Ahahaha She tried so hard to be seen by him, but there's nothing like actually looking like the kind of creature he categorically could fathom being interested in that sort of way.

Guy's been so confused and while this should help, it's just thrown him for an absolute LOOP.

All these Transformations and Demona thought she was going to get off scott free! NU UH!

Ahahaha. It's off screen, but you hear the sound of glass shattering after this, implying that she shatters her reflection and therefore the mirror that Puck Just Left Behind??? Was it just a one use thing or did he just absolutely know in his wicked little heart what her realization will drive her to do??

The SIZE difference. I know we're all thinking about it!

So I've put them together.

Goliath and Elisa normal: Elisa's head doesn't reach any part of his shoulders.

Goliath and Elisa as gargoyles: Elisa's head reaches about the lowest part of Goliath's shoulders.

Goliath and Elisa as humans: Elisa's head finally comes just above Goliath's shoulders.

Broadway still also gets to be taller than gargoyle!Elisa, and Hudson is just shorter. So she definitely got taller as a gargoyle, but it's clearly not by a huge amount. The gargoyles absolutely get shorter, which uh... Goliath as a human already seems pretty huge lmao, so probably for the best.

For being a sort of epitome of Romanticism, you'd think Goliath might be a little better at romance. But immediately he shoots himself in the foot and he just cannot recover!

And Elisa. ELISA DARLING! She's been waiting so long to be noticed and when he finally does, she makes makes a jab at him lmao. It's so silly to her that she could always see him as he is and be able to imagine romance but that he absolutely could not find his way there until now. She just can't help herself.

And it's actually really interesting to me, because while all that feels true of her reaction right here, there's also a very real note too of this comment being said to try to reorient herself in the status quo, provoking him to act like nothing is changed. Not only is she vulnerable in this moment because her world is being turned upside down, but she knows it's not supposed to stay this way either, and she can't deal the 'could be's' while so much is uncertain. And I just love that as a way we see her handle uncertainties. She maintains her air of confidence and an illusion of being totally cool and in control particularly when she's not feeling those things.

Okay, I do kind of want to know how they all got to the top of the tower here. The way this is framed, this is Goliath's first order to Puck, and I'd be wary of asking Puck to do Literally Anything Else. As it is, Goliath is being VERY specific in what he's demanding. And offering the one thing Puck desperately wants as a direct reward.

So they took the elevator. I would love to see a snapshot of this crew—five human men in loin clothes, a mangy dog, a mirror, a free gargoyle, a gargoyle in chains, and a garbage can with jester's legs coming out the bottom but not touching the floor—shoved into one elevator while muzak plays and they wait to travel up the 80 stories to get to the roof before this moment. God what a picture!

Goliath just cannot keeps his hands off of her all of a sudden. Like don't get me wrong, clearly they've already established a comfort with touch. He carries her around a lot after all. They also tend to stand pretty close to each other a lot. They are in the habit of touching.

But usually in more casual ways. He's gripping her hand here like he's afraid to let go, and... is that a hand he's keeping on her back during all this? Hehehe

As for this method of convincing Elisa, it's really the best possible route. Goliath is going to point out in a moment that she has wings, but what's more, if he wasn't a gargoyle before, how did he swoop down and catch?

I LOVE that Goliath's instinct is to just get things out there in the open. I love that while he has some confusion and perhaps even conflict on what he's realizing, he's Not Afraid to confront it head on.

Elisa finally gets what she's wanted and turns away. SHE'S not ready to face it head on. It's just WILD.

I suppose I do owe it to her to be fair. One of you smart watchers pointed out previously that Goliath has had a lot of baggage lately and is not a great time to try and start a relationship of any sort. And while Goliath would apparently be willing to play it by ear, I think Elisa's caught in the logistics of it.

She does have more to consider. What would it mean to give into a romance that she couldn't share with her friends and family? That can't come home with her? Where the partner would still owe more to others than to herself. Because with where the clan is right now, she would always have to come second to Broadway, Lexington, and Brooklyn.

And in her heart, Elisa does have a pretty selfish streak. I'm not sure she could handle that even while it could do her some good to wrestle with it. The family/friends consideration would have more sway for me than the latter, but I don't think that's the case for her.

And I also can't exactly blame her for not being able to try and do anything casually. Not only is their relationship just not casual without romance, but god there's no way in hell Goliath could be remotely casual about something like that. Ever. LMAO

So... I mean I GUESS.

But also, show wants to slow burn so slow burn we must XDXDXDXD

I love that unmaking Elisa as a human required her to have no memory of herself being human. So she gets transformed and must believe she's always been like this.

Which also must mean that the others must have not been gargoyles because otherwise they would have always been the same, but they definitely were not.

Surely though she wouldn't be quite this excited if things were in fact reversed and this was Goliath becoming human. She could only be quite that excited to be compatible so long as Goliath stays his monster-self XDXDXDXD
