The government is pleased to invite the residents of Grimstone Point and Grimstone Park to the celebrate with them the party of the decade.
Once every ten years, Lake Grimstone unites both towns for a party like no other. Residents and employees pick which decade they want to represent and for one night the towns go back in time. During the Through the Decades event, the government takes a break leaving Lake Grimstone to feel more relaxed, the curfew is also nonexistent during this night.

ADMIN NOTE: Please remember that to the residents this event will have only lasted a day/night. We are spanning it across a week to ensure that everyone gets a chance to participate. Under the read more you will get more information about this event.
For this event we will be doing a plot shuffle, what this means is that we will be offering 4 mini plots for you to choose for your characters to participate in. The space for each plot is limited so if you have multiple muses please try to spread them out among the plots so that everyone has a chance to participate. It will be first come first serve, but the admins will wait until everyone has picked a plot before we pick one for our characters. We’d like to state that plot sizes will vary but that doesn’t mean that one is more important than the other. Please send us a message by September 2 @ 8:00 PM CST to let us know what plot you would like your characters to participate in. If you have any questions or have ideas for mini plots please let us know, we will be happy to discuss them with you.

During the Through The Decades Celebration, # of residents try to make their way out of Lake Grimstone. Because During the Decades Celebration, the government, rules and guards are more relaxed it makes it the perfect opportunity to try and sneak out*. Now, the residents know that this is not a permanent getaway, if anything this is just a night out in the real world and they know that they have to be back before the government realizes that they are gone, but even just a night of freedom is worth it, especially when you can have that with people from Point, who rarely if ever get to leave Lake Grimstone.
*It is up to you to decide whether or not they were able to make it out, we just ask that you let the main know what you decided.

The celebration takes place in Grimstone Point which makes the residents of Grimstone Park feel a little jealous. Sure, they have more freedoms, but they are still stuck in Lake Grimstone and they don’t have it as nice as the Point people do. Knowing that things are more relaxed and while the government is trying to figure out if everyone is still in Lake Grimstone, a group of Park residents decide to have some fun and destroy* parts of Grimstone Point.
*It’s up to you to decide whether or not your character gets caught. Just please let the admins know what you decide.

While the celebration is taking place, a group of Point residents come across the the park residents that are attempting to destroy the town. The Point residents decide that they need to defend their town and maybe have a little revenge of their own.Â

The Through The Decades Celebration ends early due to the mishaps during the party, but because the government already gave the guards the night off and said that there was no curfew, people decide to stay out and have their own celebration knowing that freedom like that only comes once every ten years.

Once a year the government liked to pretend that Grimstone Point and Grimstone Park were like any other towns in the world, but that was the farthest thing from the truth. Bianca wondered if they did this for their amusement if this was like their version of The Hunger Games, granted there were no brutal murders during this week, but she was sure that the government did watch their every move. “Next” those words pulled her out of her thoughts and the raven-haired girl looked up. “Just one to bungee jump.” She said to the person in the ticketing booth.Â
“Are you gonna jump to or are you here just making fun of the faces that those that jump make?” She asked the person next to her.Â
“This is torture, how am I supposed to pick just one?” Brianna grinned down at the gaggle of puppies crawling all over her lap. “Any one of these little guys left when this is all over, put me down, I’ll take them all home.”
“Honestly my plan was to just pig out until my pants are too tight. I’m not really the ride or games sort...at least I haven’t seen one that’s grabbed my interest.” John gave a light shrug and smiled at the person in front of him, “but I am open to suggestions. It could be nice.”

Once a year Lake Grimstone brings together Grimstone Point and Grimstone Park for a week of fun and games. This year will not be the exception, the government has been working hard to make sure that everything is perfect for the event. They didn’t hold back when it came to plan the festival and they hope that the residents can appreciate what they have put together for them.

Not five minutes after the most recent update on the Grimstone Executioner, another update flashed across the television screens.Â
BREAKING NEWS: LOCAL, POWERLESS, POLICE OFFICER FOUND ONE HUNDRED FEET FROM LATEST VICTIM: THEODORE CAPRA.Â
Isaac Kaden Parrish’s body was found not too far from the most recent crime scene of Theodore Capra. Isaac, known as Kaden by most of the town, helped keep the town safe every day both on and off duty. His family reports that he was determined to find the serial killer and help bring them to justice. The community has lost two of its members tonight and authorities ask that if anyone has any information in regards to these murders, to come forward.Â
TV shows were cut off and loud noises blared from all electronic devices as another breaking news story appeared.Â
BREAKING NEWS: JOURNALIST TARGETED BY THE EXECUTIONER!!
The local journalist, Theodore Capra, was found dead in an ally way early this morning. It is well known that Theodore was investigating the Grimstone Executioner and authorities think that he may have been on the right track when he was attacked. Investigators have taped off the crime scene and have called in forensics to determine if there are any clues as to who the Grimstone Executioner is.Â
