Kristen finally had her new script. She couldn’t help but want to read over it over and over again until she could get herself into character. However, that didn’t mean she could skip out on work at Prohibition. 

“I know I said I wanted to spar with someone but I wasn’t expecting to get hit in the face that hard,” Landon pressed a slowly cooling hand on the side of his face, checking that nothing was broken. So far, everything seemed as it should, aside the stinging sensation.

Victoria was feeling somewhat out of sorts, having had a long and difficult conversation with a spirit she’d unwittingly brought back in her sleep and seen looming over her when she woke up. She’d headed to the coffee shop in search of soul soothing coffee and the hopes of some caffeination. Vic hadn’t been thinking when she’d picked up the first cup the barista had set down on the counter, only realizing that it wasn’t hers when she was halfway to the door and saw a different name on the cup. 

Natasha loved Fridays. She had once class in the morning and one class in the late afternoon which left her with most of her day in an empty studio. Dance had been a passion of hers throughout her entire life and had it not been for the influence of her family, she might have pursued it professionally. Instead, she’d found herself a pre-law major until her ‘accident’ changed her entire world and brought her here. Shaking off memories of her past life, Natasha eyed herself in the mirror and waited for the music to reach the point she’d choreographed to. Once it did, she began to move, unable to stop the grin that spread across her face until she was finished. Doubled over to catch her breath, she was acutely aware of someone standing in the doorway of the studio, “You,” she breathed, straightening and turning to face them, “Are either: very late for my morning class, very early for my afternoon, or entirely lost.” She tilted her head to the side, trying to appraise which they were.

“Closing time...” Levi hummed to himself, fingers drumming the countertop as he watched the hands of the clock before him tick closer and closer to when he could shut down the ticket booth - fifteen minutes after the last showing started. He set a ‘ring bell for service’ sign in his place and spun around as he exited the booth to grab a mop so he’d be ready when it was time to close up, when he noticed the person he’d last sold a ticket to still lingering in the lobby and looking around like they were waiting for someone. “Do you need help?” He asked timidly, hoping they weren’t being stood up. “The movie’s just in there, there’s only one theater.”

Grimstone Point’s waterfront area was his favorite part of the town. It reminded him of bays in cities outside. Moving to Grimstone Point for his research had only made sense, but the biggest draw back lately had been that he missed visiting other places. Still, for now, the waterfront would have to do. “Nice out today, isn’t it?” he said to the person sitting nearest him. He dug his notebook out of his bag and then froze. “I’m not a creep or anything. I’m just taking notes on you for scientific reasons.” He was trying to explain himself but, as was so often the case, it came out all wrong.
