Aw thank you so much! That’s very kind of you ❤ I was obsessed with Undertale back in those days; I watched every playthrough, listened to the music on repeat, and read so many fanfics it probably ruined my sleeping schedule for a long, long time 😅. Grillby was a character that was very open for interpretation, and from the very first playthrough I watched he already struck me like a quiet, kind gentleman that would treat people right - but also as someone who barely opens up to others. As a bartender he would no doubt have to listen to other people’s stories and I figured he would just want to be there to listen and offer his quiet support without joining in himself. That sounded like a perfect way to start a romance! Someone who he slowly opens up to, who he can actually talk to and who listens to him instead of the other way around. So that’s where I started brainstorming for a fanfic! I just love those personalities: caring, sweet, a good listener, and also a bit closed off and shy.
