Seedbox, collected and photographed by Helen Lowe Metzman and recently when I was clearing out the invasives around a ditch line at the Bee Lab I found...the stalk seed heads of Seedbox for which is was named...right under my nose. Ludwigia alterniflolia is a lover of wet feet and sits, taxonomically speaking, in the middle of Onagraceae, the Evening Primrose family. I have gathered a bunch of seed and hope to grow more of this plant and see who the pollinators are. Pretty thing too.
