🚀take back control🚀 Im sure like most, you find weekends tough to stay on track with food, training and not falling completely off the rails. So I thought today I would give you a few things you can do to help you stay on track over the weekend with small tweaks to food and what changes to make Monday morning. ✅Eating out Eating out at the weekend can be tough especially when your trying to be good with your food. Firstly make the best decision you can i.e. small changes from chips to potato, battered fish to non battered. Also make sure to get a good serving of greens with your food and leave out the bread for starters. ✅Control your portion size It can be easy to go over board with your serving size and eat more than you should, especially with foods you like, so there is a very easy rule to stick to that can really help. Protein - 1 palm size for females, 2 palm size for males Carbs - 1 fist size for females, 2 palm size for males Fats - 1 thumb size for females, 2 palm size for males ✅Stay hydrated Very simple but very over looked, just by staying hydrated can help to keep you functioning optimally and help you process extra food at a weekend. ✅Changes to your Monday nutrition So we have enjoyed the weekend and excepted that we have eaten more than usual. We can make changes to the next couple of days food to counteract this, such as lowering your food intake or falling short of your calorie target. For example if you normally consume 1,500 calories, hitting 1,300 for a couple of days can really help to get you back on track. We should all be able to enjoy our weekends and not be restricted by insane diets, Just by better decisions and sticking to small changes we can still do the things we love to do and enjoy life.
