Tonight is probably the last night that we’ll be truly free for each other in a while. I like this. Being our careless selves playing kid games and not letting my mind dwell on the soon to come goodbye. I loved that walk we had. Our conversations this whole week, our cuddle time and tickle fights. I get goosebumps to think about you leaving, but I’ll be strong. Because you believe in me like no one, not even myself, does, and that makes you so amazing, you don’t realize it. I don’t like thinking about all the free time I’ll have or that when I have a nightmare you won’t be there to console me. I don’t like thinking about the nights that will come and you won’t be here to sing me to sleep. I’d rather remember that you can make me smile with one word, and that your hands are the most gentle things I’ve ever known. Is rather kiss you and watch you be your kiddie self. For now, I’d rather do that.
