Find a cure for Garmadon -Part1
Thanks Anonymous for the request!!
Lloyd tells Sora, Arin and wyldfyre about his father's poison. They find an interesting scroll from The First Spinjitzu Master, which says that he found a cure for Garmadon..
"I will dream of scrols." Sora sighed and sat under the high shelf.
"What’s the point if we search through scrols for days!" Wyldfyre shouted angrily.
"To find a possible source of the merge." Nya was also tired. "Or at least something to help us..."
"Ah!" Arin entered the room defeated.
"What's wrong, Arin?" Sora asked him with concern.
"I just miss my parents." Arin could barely hold back his tears.
"Me too..." Lloyd came up behind him and shocked everyone. "I constantly think about mom, and also about dad... Even though it was turbulent with him."
"What does that mean for you now?" Wyldfyre looked at him confused.
"That means he was bitten by the Great Devourer and had evil venom in him... Shortly after I was born, he became evil.
When I saved him, everything was great... but later he sacrificed himself for Ninjago and Harumi woke him up again... So he was evil then good again, kind of. We had just started rebuilding our relationship before the merge..."
"It will be okay, Lloyd." Nya said compassionately, placing her hand on his shoulder. "We will find them, all of them."
"I hope so." Arin sighed, and Lloyd followed him.
"I just keep thinking that dad at least had cure for the poison. Things would be so much better..."
"How is it possible he never found a cure?" Sora pondered. "It must exist somewhere."
"My father and grandfather, uncle, they all tried everything... But unsuccessfully." Lloyd said, shaking his head as if trying to chase away the thoughts.
"Anyway, we need to focus on our work. Nya, do you want to come see something with me?"
Nya nodded silently, and they left the room.
"I really feel sorry for you, Lloyd..." Sora said sympathetically. "And you too, Arin, "It's strange that they never found a cure."
"I think it's not worth breaking our heads over it now." Arin said grumpily. "We have a lot, a lot of work to do."
~~~~~~~
"A recipe for cough tea... nothing." Wyldfyre said while browsing through the scrols. "Cleaning the monastery... nothing... My search for a cure... nothing."
"Wait!" Sora suddenly said, picking up a scrol. She had a feeling, she knew it. There had to be something in it!!
"Hmm..." Sora said as she skimmed through the unrecognizable handwriting.
"The first Spinjitzu master." She frowned.
"Ooh." Arin said excitedly, hopping over to Sora. "That's Lloyd's grandfather. The guy who created Ninjago and some other realms! He's so cool!"
"I'm glad you're excited." Sora said seriously.
"How could I not be!" Arin said enthusiastically. "I can’t believe we're reading something from..."
"Arin." Sora interrupted him reluctantly; it was a relief for her to see him happy again.
But now they had serious work to do. "I think this has to do with the poison and Gargamod."
"You mean Lord Garmadon, Lloyd's father." Arin excitedly corrected her.
"Yeah, whatever." Sora waved her hand. "We need to... just... I don't understand the language!" Sora said angrily.
"Should we take it to Lloyd?" Arin suggested.
"No... I think it’s not good for him to get excited unnecessarily." Sora pondered. "I know the right person for this!"
"Then let's go!" Arin said and looked at Wyldfyre.
"Nah... Everything is so boring." She sighed. "I'll be here, and you guys let me know if there's a fight or something good."
"Of course." Sora smiled. "And you tell Lloyd we went to check something regarding the pie contest."
~~~~~~~~~
"We've been wandering Crossroads for almost an hour," Arin complained tiredly to Sora. "Lloyd will become very worried and suspicious. Are you sure the one you're looking for is here?"
"Completely sure." Sora didn’t look very sure. "Aha! There she is. Thalyana, wait!"
"Yes?" The older lady turned around.
She looked like some kind of sorceress. Old but strong. Dark purple robes with strange symbols on them. The symbols looked like they were written in starry dust.
"I don't know if you remember me, I'm Sora." Sora introduced herself. "And this is..."
"Arin," Thalyana said and seemed a bit surprised. "I know a lot about you."
"I didn’t know we were that popular." Arin said nervously, scratching the back of his ear. Something was strange about this woman.
He wondered how Sora met her. He decided to ask about that later.
"Of course, you’re not!" Thalyana scoffed. "I just know many about destinies, and you kids are a part of it. Now let me read this scrol that brought you here..."
"Okay..." Arin said nervously and stepped into the tent.
~~~~~~
If the sorceress was crazy, the tent was even crazier. It looked as if it were covered in starry fabric and things that Arin didn’t even know the names of.
"Sit down!" Thalyana said sharply, and they reluctantly sat down. She took the scrol from Sora’s hands and began to read it.
"How do you know why we came?" Arin suspiciously asked her.
"I already told you I know a lot about destiny. Honestly, I expected you a few days ago. The portal will close." The sorceress said irritably.
"What portal?" Sora said, startled.
"You will understand everything in time." Thalyana waved her hand. "Don’t worry, you’re in good hands. I am old, very old, and I know what I’m doing."
Arin and Sora exchanged glances. Strange, but Arin felt like he could trust this woman.
"And here it says: I, the first Spinjitzu master, write this as a warning.
If something happens to me, may my eldest son Garmadon receive the cure he needs to heal from the evil blood. Here is how I found that cure...
