Someone gets it!!!! Omg!!!
The best and the saddest comment I read, I really hope Raven will be fine and they don’t kill her off but who knows >.<
I got the best comment
On my Bad Ideas fic on AO3 someone sent me this giant freaking comment talking about all these different specific parts of the story and why they liked them and I FREAKED out because I LOVE when people take the time to talk about specific parts of my fics! There's not a single line in anything I write that is just "there" I have a reason for it all and for that person to take the time to ask/comment on all of it was like 😍😍😍😍😍😍 I love you AO3 commenter That seriously made my day
Editing
Serious Author: Ah, this scene appears disjointed due to the lack of interior character thought and environment description, therefore I shall endeavor to correct these shortcomings and ground my characters more effectively in time and space.
me: eh. maybe I should - write better.

@mamapluto replied to your post “PTSD, Complex PTSD, and bullying”
How is caring for a disabled relative traumatic? Please explain, bc that honestly sounds ableist. Like. It can definitely get exhausting, as someone with two disabled parents, but traumatic? Please explain.
Yeah no I totally see what you’re saying and let me preface this by saying that I AM chronically disabled and didn’t write OP, I just posted and shared it. And when I read the part about the disabled relative all I was thinking of were the situations where trauma CAN happen to people caring for loved ones, like youth caring for their disabled parents.
Specifically, I was thinking about the clear trauma my own mother experienced taking care of her mom who had MS. She was so young and trying to make a life for herself with school and everything and she just loved her mom SO MUCH and she was the only person she really trusted (her dad and big brother were abusive) and so watching her mom go through the pain and all the horrid other neurological nightmares she went through, and mom had to help her through nearly all of it (like trying to help her to the washroom while she was experiencing vertigo and was pretty much knocking my mom over in the process). They were pretty much all each other had and that was incredibly hard for her to go through.
And I honest to god believe that one of the reasons she was SO ADAMANT that there was nothing wrong with me all my life (despite always being sick and having super weird, often painful neurological issues) was because she was in big denial that any of her children might go through what her mom did. And to be clear, that denial has caused me great pain & emotional trauma all my life.
So none of this was in any way abusive or bad (although my mom denying my health problems kind of was abusive & bad), but it WAS traumatic for my mom to watch the most beloved person in her life at the time go through this and have to help her through nearly every painful moment of it.
Anyway, I think it is absolutely ableist to assume that caring for a disabled relative will definitely result in trauma, but I think it’s fair to recognize that it can be traumatic for some people. It doesn’t make the disabled person bad or abusive, it means society doesn’t have enough support systems set up to help those of us in need, and it’s hurting more than “just” us disabled folks. It also hurts our carers sometimes, and that’s really really sad :’(
