Guys I finally found a term for myself that I saw a long time ago but couldn’t find again which explains how I feel platonic/romantic attraction. I’m idemromantic, which pretty much means I cannot distinguish between romantic and platonic attraction, as they both feel the exact same to me. With me also being grayromantic and grayplatonic, I almost never feel either, but when I do, they’re the exact same thing. This sometimes causes me to assume I have a crush on a friend or that I only see my partners as friends, but really, to me, these feelings are the exact same. No, that does not mean I want to date all my friends. It just means that I truly couldn’t give less of a fuck what others see me as. If they decide to ask me to be their partner, if I feel anything toward them, I’ll say yes. If they’d rather see me as a friend, that’s fine too. Though there are some beings I’d rather have as a romantic partner than a friend, or vice versa, I stay back and let them decide because I know it’ll be pretty much the same on my side either way

yknow it took me a while to realise that most people actually *want* stuff in the realm of relationships. like all those posts in aromantic circles about platonic marriage, at least some of them are deadass genuine about actually wanting that as an alternative while i was just sat here like “sure? i guess?” it’s an alternative i’d prefer over romance but id only want it to get away from romantic marriage plus i doubt it’ll happen for me considering how comparatively unthought-of it is.
