purple lovegrass (eragrostis spectabilis). why? says it right in the name, I love grass and it is the MOST spectabile. Imagine a cloud of pink cotton candy that is also hard at work rehabilitating disturbed soil. I can’t stop putting this in my recipes

Honorable mention switch grass (panicum virgatum) aka coastal panic grass aka Panic! At the Coastal Restoration Area. Immense presence, especially cultivars “shenandoah” and “heavy metal", would make me feel safe if i were some kind of small mammal or perhaps endangered butterfly seeking habitat
