Ambushed is a piece in the near-future of my Halcyon Legacy, and involves my two favorite SWTOR NPCs: Kira Carsen and Lana Beniko. The two have a somewhat strained relationship, rubbing each other the wrong way. Kira slightly resents Lana for dominating Corellan's work hours while Lana slightly resents Kira for dominating his personal time. So the two are on a shuttle alone coming back from a mission and frankly getting on each other's nerves when they get attacked. Their shuttle crashes, and they need to hold off a number of attackers before the Alliance arrives to rescue them. The two… learn a bit about each other, and eventually learn a newfound respect for each other. I don't know if i'll ever write it: Writing two women being catty to eachother and making it sound natural might be outside my wheelhouse.

Graduation Present features my Jedi Consular, Ulannium Kaarz, and is in two halves: The first half takes place between Chapters One and Two of the JC story. Ulannium is surveying the ruins of Kolath on Tython with Yuon Par. Its part of a tradition of Yuon's: When she became a Jedi Knight, her former Master agreed that they could do whatever they wanted. So the two go on an archeaological dig, and Yuon tells him he should do the same with his own Padawan when they were Knighted. Flash forward to the second half - years later, sometime before Shadow of Revan. Nadia Grell has just been Knighted. Ulannium tells her about Yuon's tradition, and asks what she wanted to do. And… Nadia decides that being a Knight means she should be able to consider her own wants, and makes a choice. cough 🤭
