Got any thoughts you'd like to share about your Days of Future Past AU where Corellan learns of Jaric Kaedan and his Shadows actions?
*You have jumped down the rabbit's hole.... take 392 Psychic Damage*
So!
Many of the Shadows who worked for Jaric - not all, but many - are as puritanical as he is. If they see or hear of a Jedi whose ideology deviates from their version of Jedi orthodoxy, they view that Jedi as a threat that must be exposed and eliminated at all cost.
This includes "undercover" missions where they'll be assigned as someone's padawan so they can gather information about them until they get something compromising.
(This obviously involves lying to other Jedi.)
When this doesn't work, they start to interrogate someone's friends.
In my AU - a Jedi friend of Corellan's, Unaw Aharo, is taken into custody by the Shadows. One of the Shadows, obsessed with the idea that Unaw knows something compromising about Corellan, starts to take things too far.
She winds up losing it and torturing him to death.
Afterwards, the first instinct of most of the other Shadows on her team is to cover up the incident.
One of the Shadows disagrees. They record evidence of the whole thing, and eventually they take it to Corellan.
Quite frankly, he blames Satele. The woman who put Jaric on the Council in the first place, let him take command of a special group of Shadows to serve as the Order's "internal affairs" division, and basically took a hand's off approach to the whole thing, even after Jaric's death. Basically, she just assumed it was doing it's job correctly.
This... doesn't go well. For anyone.
More later, maybe. I've literally been thinking about this for six years or so.
