But going around saying “We did it! We got it changed!” Is a pretty shitty thing to say. It promotes the idea that if you whine about something enough, you can make change. It’s literally the one thing every parent tries to avoid when raising a child.

People weren’t going around saying “Hey, you should change this.” Like, 90% of it was “God, this shit sucks! How could anyone with half a brain feel this is okay?” At best you got the artists either redesigning Sonic as a whole or figuring out a better way to make his cartoonic design seem more realistic, but even then it’s just a “This is how I would’ve done it.”

Then, assuming the release date of the movie doesn’t get pushed back, you got the trouble with risking unpaid overtime/crunch time with the animators. Don’t forget that there was still the possibility of Tails/Amy/Knuckles/Other Sonic characters appearing, meaning their designs would also have to be tweaked to fit the new style.

Also, this is just the change of the Sonic design. The script and the acting are still the same, meaning the movie could still suck complete ass, making the extra workload completely worthless. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another Guitar Hero scene.

Acting like this was a pure victory for Sonic fans is both ignorant and stupid. Frankly, the Sonic fanbase has had enough shitty entries that one more couldn’t do any more damage.
