Literally it means: the lid of the crock is off, but where is the catβs shame?
Or, itβs true that the lid of the crock is off, but the cat shouldnβt be so shameless as to steal the food inside!
Figuratively, it is used to show your disapproval of someone taking advantage of othersβ kindness or trust.
It means, Iβm being this open and honest with you, (or, youβve been given this particular privilege), but you shouldnβt take advantage of that just because you can. Have some shame! :))
* A Dizi is a traditional stoneware pot where Iranians make the legendary βAbgooshtβ stew in it.
* gorbe (Ϊ―Ψ±Ψ¨Ω) means cat. For βkittyβ, you can use βpishiβ (ΩΎΫΨ΄Ϋ), which is the softer and cuter version of the word βgorbeβ. Actually βpishiβ sounds a lot like βpussyβ.
