Almost exactly a year ago, I was prepping for my first mural, a 13’x9’ commission down in Atlanta. I reached out to various artist to ask some questions, but it was @taraleighjohnston that went above and beyond to help me. She was the epitome of #communityovercompetition. I left our conversations suddenly not feeling so nervous about the project and I vowed to myself to make sure I was as friendly and encouraging as her if anybody were to ask me any questions. “Goodtype Tuesday” by @broke_and_infamous. I was recently invited to speak on a panel about building community through art as I have had the wonderful privilege of watching this community of talented and diverse individuals grow into a global support system and a positive and safe place to connect, express ourselves and learn from each other.  • Your challenge this week is to think of something you learned from an artist among this community.
