Started Golden Kamuy and oh my god there are so many freaks. Hell yes.
My god..
I will admit that I suffer from the common affliction of most star trek fans in which I find young William Sh*tner attractive
You know the harpies are still caping for their âAsianâ anime characters to not be âblackwashedâ? đ I just want to ask them, âwhen tf have you EVER seen an Asian looking character?â They are literally the whitest kids you know! If anything, Asians whitewash themselves because they have a bit of self-loathing. Oh, I forgot, Asians are known for their wide blue eyes and blonde hair. Oh wait. And as if the Coven would love Sasuke if he didnât look like a whole white boy! SMFH đ
Ok, Imma say this before the can of worms get openâŚ
Anime, is THEIR form of what we muricans know as cartoonsâŚ.
Itâs THEIR cartoons so obviously, they ARE NOT meant to look realisitc- UNLESS THATâS WHAT THE ARTIST/CREATORS WANT
Here are some examples of realistic anime design:
Pay attention to what I previously state and look at my examples. I need to make this clear because anime and mangka both techinally fall under the umbrella of Cartoonist, which is a form art. YOU CAN TAKE LIBERTIES WITH HOW YOU WANT YOUR CARTOON/COMIC/ANIME/MANGA.Â
The above examples, show, that a creator can make them look as passing to what we look at as they want. Most animeâs and manga donât reflect how Asians look for 2 primary reasons:
1. They have, what we know as Live-actions which are actual actors reenacting the adaptations of fiction. You will never see ANY cosplayer or actor be 100000% identical to the character they are portraying. Why? Itâs literally impossible because itâs NOT MEANT TO BE 100000% accurate. They arenât real.
2. They simply donât want to do that, again this is art, they can take liberties with that they draw.
So, I agree that white folks need to actually shut up and do their homework and stop playing SJW when they have no fucking idea wtf they are talking about.Â
However, whether Asians as a people are whitewashing themselves or not- I do not believe such a bold state should be said without actually looking into the matter. Yes, parts of Asia are racists, but what exactly they are doing? I am not the one to really do the research on.Â
Also⌠that whole notion of everyone in Naruto is âwhiteâ
Boi Naruto IN IT OF IT SELF⌠RELFECTS (in a shitty way tho) Reminants of Feudal JAPAN.
ALSOOOO:
Becky, what color is this?
What color is this Sharron?
Can you tell me what color this is Stacy?
WHOMST AMONG THEM, WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO CLAIM THAT THE UCHIHA CLAN HAD CHALK COLORED SKIN?
And another thing: âyou have no right to an opinion on this subject because you arenât xyzâ is such a silencing tactic. When in good faith, a knowledgeable person who has done research and listened to people is well within their rights to give their opinions on a subject.
This whole âlived experience is the most validâ mantra we posit in SJ communities is a bit of a double edged sword. It essentializes whole communities into having one single viewpoint and begs the question of who people on the outside are supposed to listen to.
Iâve said it before, I would never want non Black people listening to a self-hating Black person about racism and stuff, thatâs completely stupid. We donât want men taking cues from right wing women about womensâ places in the world, do we? We donât think it wise to give gay republicans the floor to talk to potential allies about issues LGBT people face.
Not even to mention that since marginalized people are people we all have individual experiences that vary wildly from each other. For example, just because someone is Black doesnât mean they know everything about what it means to be Black same as how a gay person who has never really spent time with gay communities really doesnât know everything about being gay. Thereâs nothing wrong ewith that. These people can talk about their own experiences of course, but generally wonât have a lot of ground to speak at large. Itâs ineveitable that people outside these communities would have more knowledge if these people researched and spent time around people belonging to these groups and listened and drew their own conclusions.
Encouraging people on the outside to think for themselves and to not just parrot words from people in oppressed groups is important.
Oppressed groups contain multitudes, thereâs a lot of fools in our communities itâs down right dangerous to have people listen to. Letâs encourage critical thinking for EVERYONE involved, huh?

Hi how do you feel when you are looking forward to do a something and you failed miserably. If the answer is sad and angry what do you do about that.
Yes, most of the time itâs sad and angry. If Iâm in public I push it down to deal with later. I always end in my room and most of the time Iâll cry and (when angry) throw pillows and stuffed animals (or I used to now itâs mostly socks because they make less noise) and let out all the emotions and then I usually let it consume me and think about what I could do better and promise myself if I have to do it next time Iâll do better. Lately Iâve taken to listening to âHere Comes a Thoughtâ until I finally calm down.
Itâs not exactly the healthiest method, but I prefer working through emotions in private than in public.
[chuckles, her voice softer than usual]Â
Maybe I wasnât the best person to ask that...
