World of Princesses Installment 1.5 Fun with Percentile Dice
Before I get to the proper installment 2, which will be a different hamlet with the name Royal, I thought I'd share the results of some work I was doing. I did not intuitively understand the underlying math of how d% tables work. I initially made a guess that to make something a 5% chance at the high end of the table that'd be 95-00, but no that's a 6% chance. So I kind of had to work backwards to figure the results I want correctly.
In the 3e DMG as part of the settlement creation rules, there's a table to decide who the chief law enforcement in the area is (page 138 of the 3.5 revision of the DMG)the table is pretty short and looks like this:
01-60 Highest-level Warrior 61-80 Second highest-level Fighter 81-00 Highest-level Fighter
So that needs some rework for The World of Princesses in which no person is a Warrior.
The revised version would be more like:
01-60 Highest-level Fighter, Knight, Warblade, or Barbarian (see subtable A) 61-80 Second highest-level Fighter 81-00 Highest-level Fighter
And then this would be the accompanying subtable A:
01-50 Fighter 51-85 Knight 86-95 Warblade 96-00 Barbarian
The thing that actually started me down this road was trying to do something with the racial demographics from page 139 of the 3.5 DMG trying to add two new races (Goliath and Lupin) at 1% each to the percentages for an integrated community coming out of the Human's 37%, which once you translate that to a d% table would look like:
01-35 Human 36-55 Halfling 56-73 Elf 74-83 Dwarf 84-90 Gnome 91-95 Half-Elf 96-98 Half-Orc 99 Goliath 00 Lupin
@sillyfuckrandomthoughts @thydungeongal @crinosg @greatwyrmgold @jennysighs @divinity-thief @acertainaccountofevents
we got thugs, goons, boneheaded lunks! get them while theyre beefy!
Half-goliath werewolf barbarian I made for a curse of Strahd campaign (that is on hold) but I figured I'd share!
Some of the canon goliath lore I'm not too big of a fan of, so when it comes to older goliaths (with the help of @shadowmelter ) we determined that instead of their villages leaving them to die (wtf WOTC) they do something called "The Final Adventure" where they take on progressively more dangerous missions and adventures in an attempt to die bringing glory to their family or a final chance at bringing honor to their name. It's a pride thing. Going on this campaign is basically her third try at this and she's getting tired of nothing being able to kill her. She's just too badass even though she has lower back pain and her knees aren't the same
Goliath time! I'm happy with how the tiny sumpkrocs came out. I'm starting to get the hang of Dirty Down Rust, I tried using Dirty Down Moss effects as well but I think I need more practice with how that paint works.

Sorry I really haven't been doing all that much, but I did draw a few of my DnD Characters from my Campaign I'm running (plus my PC Vanilla from my friends campaign)
Goliath Picrew Recommendations
Goliaths are a 5e playable race descended from giants, characterised by their large frames, grey, stone-like skin and markings on their face and body. They are also usually depicted as bald and clean shaven.
With that in mind, here are some goliath-appropriate picrews with one or more of the following features:
β Grey skin
β Face and body markings
β Large/muscular frames
β Baldness
RPG Husband Generator by Drudenkreuz
Grey Skin β Markings β Muscles β Bald β
Always a go-to picrew for muscular characters, the RPG Husband Generator is naturally suited to a typical goliath's big, muscular frame and also offers body markings, baldness and a good variety of high fantasy clothing and accessories.
Create a Cambion by Kenzie Crow
Grey Skin β Markings β Muscles β Bald β
While technically designed for demons and cambions, Create a Cambion is surprisingly versatile and one of the few picrews out there which offer grey skin AND face markings (in either black or white). The body options aren't large but they at least have visible muscle definition.
Witchcrew by malachitinous
Grey Skin β Markings β Muscles β Bald β
This picrew is a great option for female or androgynous goliaths. While none are noticeably muscular, it offers 3 body types and features a good variety of face markings in different colours.
Fantasy Icon Maker by triflingshadows
Grey Skin β Markings β Muscles β Bald β
Another that's a little lacking in size/muscle but great for variety of markings. It also offers more than one shade of grey which is always nice.
Fantasy OC Creator by Cilantro Studios
Grey Skin β Markings β Muscles β Bald β
Once again this falls into the category of bald and grey but not muscular. The facial markings are very simple on this one and unfortunately can't be layered together but there are a few different choices for them. The skintones include several shades of grey though and good options for fantasy and historical clothing.
_____________________
That's it for now but please let me know if there are any picrews I missed that are good for goliaths! I've been compiling these for half a year and I'm still not completely happy with them (it really surprised me how hard it is to find picrews with facial markings like these!)
