ive been seeing jokes about like how baby horses can be running around immediately out of the womb while baby humans cant hold their head up for a good little while after being born and joking about baby centaurs running around with floppy baby human top halves but this doesnt take into consideration why theres this difference between baby humans and horses
humans have two legs, and so their hips are narrower, so when a human births a baby the baby is underdeveloped and hence cant hold its head up. centaurs would be giving birth with their horse halves so the human baby would be more developed from birth and would not in fact be flopping around atop some horse legs
