No one: Oh you have a goat nari? What's their lore?

firstly, the goat's starting weapon is the axe rather than the sword, both to differentiate them from the lamb and because they use the axe in the first unholy alliance trailer. additionally, rather than fervor, ichor acts as mana. functionally it'd be the same as fervor, "beat mana out of enemies to use curses", but i thought it'd add some flavor, plus i really like the idea of using blood/ichor as a primary theme for the goat (hence this blog's name)

now for the juicy part, the bishops and the duck siblings

Mansemat (they/them, ram) - Conquest, Bearer of the Red Crown

Pekko (he/him, weasel) - Famine, Bearer of the Yellow Crown

Serket (she/her, snake) - Pestilence, Bearer of the Green Crown

Nikita (she/her, owl) - War and Knowledge, Bearer of the Blue Crown

The One Who Waits/Narinder (he/him, cat) - Death, Bearer of the Purple Crown (for now)

the owl and snake are loosely based on the bishops from the beta but not super closely since they're mostly their own characters (especially now that the original designs are being used for the upcoming CotL board game). similarly, the ram is loosely based on the lamb but not directly since the goat is already the lamb's direct counterpart.

regarding the duck siblings, my main idea for them is that in this universe they've all fallen to madness from trying to wield their godly tools, not just chemach. additionally, due to clauneck's corruption, all tarot cards are corrupted by the events of the "game" (i know this would probably suck gameplay wise but don't worry about it)

In celebration of the Goat update being a few days away, I designed my version of Narinder's Goatverse counterpart, Gaia the former goddess of life. Many eons ago, Gaia, she of life ruled Faustia along side her siblings, The Bishops of Reverence, as the naive yet benevolent middle sister. Rather than rule over her followers with an iron fist, she much preferred the company of mortals seeing them as curious little companions rather than thralls. She even allowed a small civilization of them to build their homes in the safety of her temple grounds...much to her siblings dismay...
