Found on a Tall Ship group on Facebook: "The Gertrude Thebaud . . . back from the Grand Banks, heavily laden in ice in 1935. Dory trawling was 24-7...365 days a year job. In a print interview 60 years ago my father offered this description of his days on 'Thebaud' - " God - that cold ! Out at 3 a.m. dark amid freezing working by flambeaux torches - we'd row out from the mother ship, two men to a dory. Back at 7 a.m. for a second breakfast, out again till 4 in the afternoon. 'Thebaud' was one of the last working schooners built at the Story Shipyard in 1930. She sank off the coast of Venezuela, Feb 6, 1948."
