Load shedding, it’s where the national energy company doesn’t have the capacity to manage the power to the grids so they shut certain areas off during the day to mitigate the risk of a full outage. I can’t imagine how it would be to plan a business around that but people like Rise do it all the time. . . . The people in South Africa are generally resilient because they have to be. When your local and even national government are a hindrance to your business you get around it. Buying generators setting different times to work, etc. . Rise employs women from the local neighborhood and they sew together work uniforms and now clothing for all.
