every single femslash ship in bungou stray dogs is considered a rarepair by the bsd rarepair exchange standards; even the most popular one has less than 200 fics on ao3 using the otp: true filter. so, i thought it might be fun to run a round of this exchange dedicated only to femslash ships! this will include couples and polyships made up of canonically female characters (i.e. no genderbend ships). nonbinary/transfem/etc. headcanons of canonically female characters are allowed.
this exchange will be hosted through ao3 with an optional discord server for participants to join. assuming there is enough interest to run the exchange, the discord server will open at the conclusion of the interest check.

There are some things that can only ever be fantasy.
Which is why, under the shadow of the night, Gin dons clothes stolen from her brother’s wardrobe, ties up her hair, and sneaks away to a place where no one knows the truth of who she is.

ok so. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. well i've been thinking about sirens x mermaids so.
(16+)
Louisa has a tendency to squirm, when Gin's teeth come near. It's really not her fault- they're just so sharp.
But maybe that is why Gin likes leaning against her, the siren perhaps enjoying feeling her wriggle under them. Gin's scales rub against Louisa's, and they're rougher then hers, covered with more scars then she could count.
Louisa squeaks when Gin makes a low purrrr, pinning her to the side of the cove, nuzzling against her gills. She makes a soft gasp at that, tail swishing fast, until Gin takes one clawed hand and sets it just where scales fade to skin.
"Um-" Her face is impossibly red as she meets their eyes, and their intense, almost ravenous gaze makes her words melt in her mouth, and she's back to just stuttering, because really, what can she say?
They know what she wants, and she trusts them to carry it out, anyway.
(Even so, that does not hold her back from yelping when fangs land in her shoulder and blood paints the water like smoke. It's okay; Gin doesn't like talking, but Louisa makes enough music for both of them anyway.)
cutely kicks your door down. 54 + gincott and/or 32 + lemon futon!
oh these are certainly combos!

Every God knows the tale of the Akutagawa siblings. One's sickness and the other's terribly tight grasp on life.
The church, as far as Louisa can tell, has never been graced by any but those who wish to tear it down, as they do not believe the elder truly divine but a curse instead, the occasional respectful traveller, or..
Its one priest. They do not remember their brother, nor why they stay so close to the church. Just that it is all they have, and for that, they will rebuild it as many times as they must.
It's admirable. Louisa would really like to meet them, speak properly-
But it would mean nothing, ultimately. Gin will not live forever, only perish over and over, and Louisa will just have another ache in her heart.
So she never strays too close.

The fire's gone out again.
Katai doesn't have the energy to get up and light it, really.
He just stares at it, staying curled up in his sheets, hesitant.
Kajii shifts a little, then opens one eye. "Are you not going to tend to that?"
Katai flinches, looking over. "I thought you were asleep."
Kajii grins, and Katai finally understands what it means when someone's expression is described as catlike. It's hauntingly mischievious.
"Maybe I was!!" He pulls himself out of the blankets, yawning and patting Katai on the head. As Katai watches, he flops next to the fireplace, his tail swishing out of his clothes, lit with a flame that smells, somehow, more of lemon then smoke.
Katai coughs as the fire leaps back into life with more ash spraying then he'd like. "KAJII-"
The bakeneko just giggles as Katai sits up to brush the ash off himself. "Aren't you toasty?"
"I'm going to make you clean this up." Katai grumbles.

“You can join us if you’d like!” Lucy offers.
Louisa’s gaze rakes over the two of them. Lucy is practically in Gin’s lap, with her legs thrown over Gin’s lap and their arms wound around her torso. Which is great for them, really—Lucy deserves all of the nice physical affection in the world, especially knowing how she was treated growing up and how rare it was for her to receive any touch that didn’t hurt.
But Louisa cannot stomach the thought of sitting there beside them, allowed only to watch and not participate.

love you through an open wound
But Gin leaves flowers on a grave, and they wear grief like a noose around their neck, and when they ask Louisa what brought her to Japan, Louisa lets herself be pulled into a conversation like a fly in a spider’s web. The silk is soft, and Louisa is tired, and—
And Gin listens, like no one else would.
It’s so easy to drown in them.

smiles so sweetly. here's your order of angst i hope u enjoy <3
“I wish I’d gotten to tell you,” Gin whispers, voice so soft it’s lost even on their own ears in the bitter winter wind. It’s not as if Ryuunosuke could offer a response regardless, and they’re not sure they believe his spirit is still around to listen.
They reach out a hand, fingers numb from the cold, to brush the snow from his gravestone. They trace the characters carved into it, spelling out his name, and beneath it, the birthday he gave himself when their friends in the slums asked. It’s followed by the day he died, the second time, at the hands of Ame-no-gozen.
Gin is grateful they were unaware of his resurrection until after he was already gone again. Losing him once was hard enough; they’re not sure they would have survived it a second time. It’s been three months now, and they still miss him so much they get sick with it. Their apartment is so empty without him, and there’s a vacant space left in the Mafia without him there, and with each new thing that happens in Gin’s life, they find themself turning to tell someone who is no longer there.
After encouragement from Higuchi and Atsushi, they finally started testosterone today.
They never even got a chance to come out to Ryuunosuke.
And they know—he would want them to carry on without him. He wouldn’t want them to stop their growth just to keep themself as the girl he left behind, just to keep themself recognizable to him, just in case there is an afterlife and they’ll get to see each other again someday. But…
This, too, feels like a second death of sorts. The death of the Gin that Ryuunosuke knew.
They’ll bury that girl here next to him, and hope it brings him peace wherever he is. If he’s anywhere at all.
They hope that will be enough comfort—for the both of them.

“I really am sorry,” Tachihara says, as if that means anything now. As if a simple sorry could make up for four years of lies. Gin doesn’t trust people often, and Tachihara knows that. He knows he was one of the few who they let see beneath the mask—who they let in completely, only for him to betray that trust in every way possible.
Gin says nothing. He doesn’t deserve their voice anymore.
“Gin—”
In a flash, they have a knife drawn and pressing against his throat. He stops talking immediately. It was too easy. He has a goddamn metal manipulation ability; why is he letting a blade so close to him? Surely he doesn’t need to be able to see in order to sense a knife, or a bullet, or anything metal that could kill him. He’d be useless if that’s the case.
They want to ask—Do you want to die?
But they already swore to remain silent, and…
they’re afraid the answer will be yes.
-
“Wait,” Louisa begs, “please just listen—”
But Gin has already turned on their heel and begun to walk away. Louisa knew she should have said something sooner, but when she realized Gin was entirely unaware of her affiliation with the Guild, it was just— It seemed too good to be true. Louisa wanted to exist somewhere where she could just be a normal girl, for once, and she had that with Gin, until—
She really screwed everything up.
It could have been fine, probably, if they were just casual acquaintances. It’s not as if Gin told Louisa they were part of the Port Mafia straight off the bat. But then they got closer, and Gin did come clean, and they invited her over to their apartment and introduced her to their brother and kissed her like they were starved for it. And Louisa just couldn’t risk losing that.
She watches Gin disappear into the crowd. She could chase after them but…
Who is she kidding? Gin made it clear that they’re done with her.
Just like with Lucy, just like with Margaret, Louisa’s fear wrapped its hands around her and cost her someone she just wanted to stay.
Maybe this is just her fate.
She waits, for a moment, half-hoping Gin will come back. But deep down, she knows that won’t be the case. She knows Gin made their choice, and it was one they had every right to make.
Louisa just isn’t the sort of person who is worth looking back for.
