Honestly, I can see Adrien's grief being resolved by actually wishing back his father and Gabriel, seeing what his son has become, decides to recind this second chance.
Especially if he thoughtlessly makes a wish and Gimmi makes the sacrifice to be... Marinette. Adrien spirals, trying to think of the perfect wish that won't screw anybody over and even lashing out at Gimmi like, "THEN WHAT IS EVEN THE POINT OF YOU?"
Bryce Papenbrook would blow out his vocal chord for sure but it would be well worth it.
Gabriel, coughing out more of his disintegrated innards, urges Adrien to reverse things, to be better than his failure of a father ever was, and affords his son some closure. Basically, it helps Adrien realize that it's better to focus on an uncertain future than the deceptive comfort of the past.
Bonus points if Ladybug tried to stop him with a Lucky Charm only to turn up nothing just like with Argos, the universe telling her that Adrien will make the right choice when all is said and done. A sort of culmination of her keeping so much secret from him and fearing how he'd take it.
