So... I was thinking about back story for Bow's dads and how there's a good chance George met Micah during the war and then my brain... accidentally created a crackship that was George x Micah.
(Gicah? Meorge? These are both terrible.)
And, at first, I was like GAH, brain, why would you do this? But then we were kicking the idea around in the old group chat and came up with some interesting ideas I wish to unleash you on all in case anyone would like to take this and run with it.
George and Micah met during the war and had a passionate fling. Memorable but brief. Long before they met their spouses. George never knew Micah's name.
What if part of the reason George is so salty about the rebellion and magic is a rebellion sorcerer broke his heart, hmm?
Because he never knew his name and generally disdained both rebellion politics and royalty, George never realized the king of Bright Moon was the same man he hooked up with all those years ago.
So then, of course, after the war, they meet and recognize each other and it's freaking awkward.
And George is really afraid Lance is going to be upset about it or jealous but instead he thinks it's HILARIOUS and takes every opportunity to give them a hard time about it.
Once she finds out, Castaspella joins him and the two of them are united in giving George and Micah crap about it for all time.
Meanwhile, the older generation try to keep this from Bow and Glimmer because they don't want to traumatize the kids but, of course, they find out anyway.
Glimmer is slightly weirded out by it at first but eventually makes her peace with it enough that she laughs along with Aunt Casta and Lance when they are going at them.
Bow in the other hand is slightly traumatized by the idea of George being with anyone other than Lance and is so stressed he can't even deal with being in the room when everyone's going on about it.
How do they find out? One idea we had was that Glimmer finds some old pictures from the war and she's like, "Aw, Bow, look at this old picture of my dad!" and he's like, "Cool, he looks so... wait a second, is that George????" and the dads, when confronted, are like "Ohhh, haha, well, you see, we were... friends?" and the kids are like... "You're kissing? And shirtless? In BED???" and they have no choice but to own up.
