hey! i noticed you did mention fujoshi thing and something about it being actually queerphobic and not about “hetero ppl fetishizing gay relationship” thing in your argument about moral panic and i’m very curious about this now but i can’t find anything useful on this topic. (aside from some ppl posting gay ships and calling it a sin/guilty pleasure and other ppl calling them out on it? this really isn’t not much) could you please share some recourses or thoughts on the subject? thank you!

Just in case I gave you the wrong impression, what I meant was that the way antis argue about fujoshis is the queerphobic bit, because they’re attacking the Yuri community, which is made up predominantly of LGBTQ+ women and frequently explores queer themes in the work created in that genre.
To address your request for more resources, I’m going to have to lean on an old standby and suggest that you check out @freedom-of-fanfic. They have written extensively about anti-shipping and the harm that antis have caused and are really thorough in their analysis of these topics. In particular, check out their Fandom FAQ for more information as you’ll find one big post about the fujoshi argument there, along with more of if you search their blog for the word fujoshi.
