God you are so cringey. One day youâll realize how...
what bug crawled up anonâs ass?
If it is the same person and not just somebody else copy/pasting their words: Another blog deleted a reblog of a post of theirs that had some really valid points about not whitewashing Black Panther, because theyâre an aphobe and that blog has a no platforming policy. This user asked why. When they got an answer they basically laughed and said they werenât going to read it -- which just tells me and everyone they werenât interested in getting an answer and just wanted to stir shit. I had a laugh about this in a reply and I guess my very minor contribution was enough to warrant these very clumsy attempts at -- I donât know. But they seem to think Iâm really distressed about being 33.Â
I guess itâs just been a slow morning and thereâs nothing on TV where they are.Â

Self-explanatory (and Iâve tagged this âjulie has a vacation tagâ for anybody who is sick of seeing these.)Â
Questions and discussion under the cut!
Currently, the plans are to go from 4/15-4/21 (4/22 is departure day, itâs basically âcheck out, drive to airport, fly home.â Plane leaves at 2 pm :(
But itinerary:
4/15: Arrival. Drive into Orlando to buy breakfast food, water bottles, etc. Check into hotel. Safari and dinner at hotel from 3:30-8. Possible mini golfing if time. (Really super determined to fit in a round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens at *some* point during this trip; youhave to start your round by 10:30 pm.)Â
4/16: Split between Animal Kingdom in morning and Epcot at night. See Illuminations at night at Epcot.
4/17: Split between Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. (The Great Dilemma: Hollywood Studios has an Extra Magic Hour in the morning, but it makes more sense to see Fantasmic today than Wishes. I do want to catch all 3 light/fireworks shows.) Either way, it probably makes the most sense to get the Fastpasses for Hollywood, if only because of the wait for Toy Story Midway Madness.Â
4/18-4/19: Universal! HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER
4/20: Epcot. Dilemma: Current dinner reservation is for 7:15 pm, meaning that we could make Wishes (10 pm) at the Magic Kingdom but not Fantasmic (8:30 pm but have to arrive by 8 pm to get a seat) at Hollywood. I could move the dinner reservation back to 5:15, enabling us to make either, but...should I? (The whole dilemma with the EMH at Hollywood looks like the early hour going there gets offset by having to wait around between shows, since most things weâre seeing at Hollywood Studios are shows.) Â
4/21: Whatever we want, but canât see any fireworks shows whatsoever due to 8:50 pm reservation at Be Our Guest.
Questions:
1. How long does it take to eat a sit-down meal at Disney? (4/20 is Le Cellier at present, which is $$$, but will it take an hour? Two? What about the time to commute between parks? Is it easier to go Epcot -> MK or Epcot -> Hollywood?)Â
2. What is better, using that Early Magic Hour at Hollywood Studios, or seeing Hollywood Studios in the evening and maybe using one of the Fantasmic Dinner Packages? (Similarly, is Magic Kingdom better done in the morning or evening?)Â
"ghost-plot said: Are you ok with with this being re-blogged?"
Hell yeah! I'm really mad and it's a huge relief if somebody else is also mad. And actually, I don't think it's an original idea. I'm pretty sure I only felt secure in saying stuff like that because I saw other feminists getting pissed about it too. And it was like suddenly I realized I didn't have to kiss men's asses or pat them on the head and throw other feminists under the bus to appease them.
I wasted so much time thinking I had to make feminism palatable to men for them to listen to me. I don't want anyone else making the same mistakes. Look at Emma Watson and Beyonce. They're advocating like the most basic, accessible, mainstream feminism there is and they're super likable, sexy people on top of that and men still flip out over it. No matter what you do men are gonna get pissed when you tell them that they're privileged and that the way the world is isn't fair to women. I think some of them really think that this is equality or they're ignorant to sexism but I think a lot of them know the world is made for them & they like it that way.
So fuck 'em. If somebody only agrees to support you when you're kissing their ass they don't actually care about you.
ghost-plot answered your question:So, that ongoing thing with Verizon over a service...
Verizon gave me the run around for months when I went to Europe, I was charged an extra 30$ for 3 monthsâŚthey suck.
It's seriously about $7 and I refuse to pay at this point because I'm FURIOUS. The sheer number of HOURS I've spent on the phone, getting the runaround, being told it was solved only to get ANOTHER bill (at one point it was up to a couple hundred dollars because they were tacking on late fees), and now THIS? I'm just beyond angry. I'm so glad that I kept the documented conversation of at least the last rep I talked to - I had a notebook going with the name of every single rep, but given that I thought this was solved when the bills finally stopped coming and rep #10 million said that everything was fixed & fine, I'll have to dig for the more extensive records. I just refuse to pay something that I shouldn't have been charged for in the first place, that Verizon stated REPEATEDLY would be taken off the account, and now that it's gone to collections I fully anticipate a hellish time of getting collections to stop anything but again there is no way in hell I'm paying Verizon or their agency something I never owed in the first place.
Any thought I had of getting my dad a tablet for Christmas went out the window, and when I replace my phone, I'm probably going to go with AT&T. I've heard cell phone customer service is bad wherever you go, but I DON'T THINK THIS COULD BE ANY WORSE.Â

Spam time because you are delightful and I always like learning about you and reading your stuff: Hello, beautiful human. Once you get this, you must publicly say 5 things about yourself. Then pass it on to 10 of your favorite followers ;) (Also, tag me so I can read your response!)
I love paper journals. Pretty paper journals with blank pages just scream of promise, and I always get them and plan to write background for novels in them. And then I usually end up putting the planning in Word docs anyway, so I have a ton of lovely half-filled or barely-written-in journals. BUT I LOVE THEM.
Reason why I end up putting all the info in Word docs? My typing speed is about 10x faster than my writing speed. I AM A VERY FAST TYPIST.
I have a three-part multigenerational novel planned out in my head that I really want to write, but I have so much other stuff to work on that I haven't really started it. I have so much worldbuilding for it.
One of my...idk if it's a "pet peeve" ("pet difficulty" might be a better phrase) with worldbuilding/writing that always tends to get me is trying to figure out fictional distances/travel times. Thinking about "how far could someone cover on horseback with or without changing horses vs. covering terrain on foot vs. having roads/not having roads" is kind of a pet peeve of mine. I think I once wrote some of that information down somewhere (maybe in a journal!) but I have no idea what I did with it, and it's hard to keep it in the forefront of my brain when figuring things out.
I tend to prefer to read urban fantasy/dystopia set in this world, but write fantasy not set in this world. (I guess I could use Thing Five to talk about my reading tastes and issues - specifically, Jim Butcher's Skin Game just came out and I could probably make a Five Things Fandom post about that series - but thing five About Me might be that I managed to devour that book before 2 pm Wednesday despite working a 12-hour shift Tuesday, and I'm about halfway through a re-read atm. I also read really fast.)Â
