Crow had always loved the Snow drops that bloomed at the beginning of Spring.She particularly liked the ones that sprung up in large parks.

Crouching down to admire them, she has her wings spread across the snow heavy grass.She brings her fingers to the head of the flower, just to feel it. She cold never pick them, it would be such a waste to kill something so beautiful.

She stays there enjoying the peace that comes with night time but somewhere off to her right something moves.

Looking to the right she sees the departing shadow of something tall with an odd shape.

Were those dog ears? Those had totally been dog ears.

Tucking her wings in tight against her back she quietly runs towards the wall that the person had just passed. She doesn't want to risk flying, the beat of her wings could alert them to her, for all she knows they could be like Sister, always ready for a fight.

Peeking around the corner she finally gets to see the stranger and her eyes widen. Those had really been dog ears, massive black ones and to boot he had a jackal's head. Squinting at this massively tall creature she starts to recognize what it might be. It looked like the Egyptian God of death Anubis.

Eyes widening again she becomes bombarded with he conflicting urges of wanting to follow or to flee.

Unfortunately while she was debating with herself a cat had decided to play with her scarf.

Feeling the sudden pull from behind she twirls around and spots the cat pulling her scarf. Panicking slightly because this scarf had been given to her by Sister and this fearless little cat was making holes in it!

Pulling the scarf gently from the now displeased cat she takes a step back while bundling the material into her arms, but luck didn't seem to be on her side tonight though.

As she had taken a step back she didn't notice the black ice that still lingered on the floor causing the heel of her ankles boots to slip.

Surprised by the sudden shift of gravity she gives a short shout of surprise while trying to grab anything to catch her fall but there's nothing in reach but the wall. Turning her head while lying on the ground to glare at the cat she realizes that she isn't alone, that the Anubis creature was just along the path way. Jerking her head towards it's direction she prays to anything, even to Sister that it hadn't spotted her.

Anubis had his arms crossed over his chest as he walked down the path he's emerged onto. He really didn't like the color and he crossed his arms to keep himself warm. It wasn't needed all that much, since he wasn't effected as greatly by cold environments as a mortal would be. However, he was still shirtless and he could still get cold. 

Speaking of which, he kept asking himself why he was in this place. However, each time he asked himself, he remembered that it was because a new lost soul had sprung up and he was going to find it. He needed to know the state of their heart and whether or not it was important for him to help them. That was kind of his job. 

He was so lost in his thoughts that he wasn't taking in who or what was around him and he only paid attention enough to not walk into any walls. Turning down the path, he nearly slipped on some black ice that was on the ground, managing to stay on his feet through many funny gestures of waving his arms all over the place. He growled to himself. This really wasn't one of his good days.

Just as he decided to continue on his quest, some commotion behind him entered his large ears. Was someone following him? No, aside from spirits, mortals can't see him. Anyway, why would a spirit be following him? Curious as to what the racket had been, he turned to a strange sight.

It was a young woman clad in gray who was laying unceremoniously on the ground. She might have looked rather normal had it not been for the large black wings coming from her back.

Anubis stood there, just looking down at the apparent spirit, only blinking as he was trying to figure out what to do. Recently, he'd been interacting with many more spirits than in all his years of being who he was. His old self would've just continued to walk away without even wondering. However, he felt more interested in finding out what she'd been doing.

Pitch glared at Crow and rolled his eyes. “I don’t eat birds. Especially gamy ones like you…” His eyes took on a mischievous glint and he smiled like a shark. “I much rather stuff you and mount you on a wall or maybe over my door or fireplace. A raven would be more symbolic but you’ll do.”

Kozmotis stepped in between Crow and Pitch and frowned disapprovingly. “You’re such a child sometimes,” he muttered at the grinning spirit and turned to their guest. “You can rest assured that I will gladly protect you, dear creature. And try not to fear Pitch; it’s like feeding a bear - quite dangerous and liable to make him follow you around hoping for more.” He tossed a glare over in the Nightmare King’s direction.

In the background, Pitch taunted in a whispering voice, “I bet bears eat crows… Perhaps I should give it a try…” He champed his teeth and then smiled widely, trying and failing to approximate an innocent look.
