That I have tools to help manage my anxiety
That I have tools which help me shift my perspective
That I’ve done a little bit daily toward my move and it doesn’t feel overwhelming
That I know the difference between feeling of anxiety and feelings of overwhelm
That I will be in much closer proximity to the AA club I go to in person in my new apartment
That my perspective is in check - just this morning I thought of how we’ll one day refer to the time we moved AA meetings online because it won’t always be like this
That I got to see my new apartment this morning and it looks really cool
That my dog loves me and trusts me
That my new roommate is so good with my anxious and overly protective pup
That my brother is supposed to get FaceTime privileges today from his state-mandated rehab facility (I haven’t seen his face in months - I’ll probably cry)
That my brother is doing so extremely well - just finished step three with his “outside” sponsor of his own free will - it’s not even part of the program
That my brother and I fit so well together
That we both seem to understand how similar we are, which give us access to pause and forgiveness - I can tell he’s trying as hard as I am
That I get to witness the light come on in his eyes
That I have three active sponsees who are doing the fucking deal - it’s so inspiring to watch and such an honor to be a part of
For the rain, though I’ll be honest I’m praying for sunshine on Tuesday and will be hard-pressed to find gratitude for the rain if it falls when I’m moving
For my love of laughter - God, I love laughter
