When I was a #teenager I was trying to solve a problem, why aren't there more #AsianPeople who looked like me (#brownpeople) in the mainstream #media and #musicindustry? All the kids in my playground had #rolemodels on their walls that gave them something to aspire towards. For some reason all we had were unrelatable #bollywood icons in really tight Xmas jumpers dancing around trees (rishikapoor). I now appreciate the kitsch factor. However at the time as a young #BritishAsian I was looking for someone to show me hope at the least. So we set off on our journey and today we have dozens if not hundreds of young relatable role models in media, music, sport, film, literature, arts, tech and so many other disciplines that have the potential to inspire the #GenerAsianNext. Is it enough? Hell no. We are now calling it #BAME but back then it was so early a discovery we just called it #equality and #diversity. 20+ ventured later we still find problems to solve. #TerryMardiGroup wants to make the world better. Anyway, the post is to simply mention that the #TMG100 is attracting so many entrepreneurs that we are delighted to aid in their business growth.
