It’s very funny. She just… doesn’t mention it. And since she’s already predisposed to not-being-very-verbal, and doesn’t see the point in bringing up information that isn’t important (WHY would her gender be important??? She can use her weapons just as well as the next Link, thanks) the rest of the group goes literal months without realizing.

But when they do:

“Why didn’t you correct us on your pronouns?!” Red wails. Tacet shrugs. It’s deeply unhelpful.

**Didn’t seem necessary,** she signs, then pauses, considers, and adds, **Also funnier this way.**

She needed to get away, and there was a war. So she went for that, she had good enough experience, few people helped people that looked like her, and she liked to be able to help to a point. So, despite Klaus hating it she was on the front line, and she met the brotherhood, and the way they were treated. And she found her way to their side Every Time. The other nurses didn't like her all that much anyway. She'd dealt with them enough, she was happy to spend the time in the trench with Joe, he didn't act overly treat her as anything but an equal.

“Say Cheese!”

An identity along the lines of genderfluid and genderflux, in which one has different gender identities at different times. Unlike genderfluid and genderflux, genderflip individuals have a limited amount of solid genders they "flip" between, rather than moving fluidly or fluctuating through.

Examples of genderflip identities:

Someone whose gender swaps between man and woman.

Someone who is usually agender, but sometimes is aporagender.

Someone whose gender switches between man, woman, agender, neutrois, pupgender, maverique, androgyne, and kenochoric, but is never an "in-between" identity or two of them at the same time.

A trigender individual whose three genders are different at different points.

A bigender individual who has one gender that flips while another does not.

A genderfluid individual who is femfluid and mascfluid, but never experiences fluidity between fem and masc.
