Gen Con 2016 Day 3!
Saturday at Gen Con is always a good one! A long one, but a good one. @pyrog57 and I have played in Iron GM for the last 3 years and it’s always a good game. This year our GM didn’t win but her game was SO MUCH FUN and my character was such an obnoxious badass. I literally did nothing useful but make one other player look good with illusions until the very end when I literally blasted the baddy in an epic finishing move. Oh it was great and I loved it!
I also cosplayed as Chun Li from Street fighter...accidentally made us late because I took so long to get ready, but mad did I look good! Tbh CosPlaying when I’m spending 6 hours out of my day in 1 room is probably not the best, but hey. Got some exposure. I personally didn’t get any photos of my costume, tho. Sorry folks. Maybe next year. :p
We called it a night pretty early since our last panel was a failed comedy skit but it was okay. We watched the Olympics with our friends and shared a running commentary about how the athletes (particularly the female volleyball players) rent bothered by all the sand...
Gen Con 2K16 Day 2
A good day overall but soooo exhausting! @pyrog57 and I stayed with some friends of ours and their cat’s are (naturally) very curious. Kept digging through our bags super early in the morning, so we were pretty late in getting starting in the morning. Missed our first panel we wanted to go to. That being said, the two we made it to were super awesome. Master GM class gave us great info for world building and overall game play and Monte Cook was hilarious!
We spent the afternoon going to the Jewlers’ to pick up my ring that was getting cleaned. It was an hour outside the city during rush hour traffic in a car w/ no AC. GOD IT WAS ROUGH! We lingered in the shop looking around just to cool down and rehydrate (they gave us water - so nice and refreshing!).
We ended the night with Concert Against Humanity with some friends of ours. It was pretty fun and definitely enjoyable. Tbh the highlight of the whole thing was the ASL translators. They’re were super fun and did such a great job.
So I am about 6 months late getting these posted...but i am a lazy bum and didn;t really want to ink them until apparently now.
SO GEN CON 2K16 WAS A BLAST, FOLKS! Did some new stuff, did some things I did last year, and had LOADS of FUN! This year I decided to draw a small comic for every day @pyrog57 were at the Con; both for practice and to document to most memorable moments of the day. I was gonna put all three in one post, but decided not to since it’d be to bulky.
SO, DAY 1! I feel like the first day of Gen Con is always one of the best days for me. So much cool stuff to look at and the Dealer Hall always has some cool giveaways going on. That being said, it is one of the most crowded days so it’s also the most taxing for me. I was exited this year because @figmentforms was gonna be at Gen Con again and I wanted to meet her again. Last year I’d almost missed her, but tbh I didn’t expect seeing her on Day 1! I kinda panicked when I sighted her and forced Kevin and I past her quick. By evening though I decided to go back. I wanted to get her “A Tale of Two Rulers” book before it all sold out and chat a bit if I could. We actually talked for quite a while and she’s such a cool person. <3 I got my comic book and a few prints too, one of which is this lovely gem (tho a little more NSFW ;p ). Got some flack for that one but it’s one of my faves. :)
