Gen:Lock is so weird, the plot is literally the United Nations preemptively attacked the Middle East because they are scared that the Middle East will develop a weapon. As such, the United Nations are responsible for 9/11 and deserves it. However, then it hard pivots into both sides are wrong.
So I've gotten Pacific Rim and Gen:Lock on the mind right now, and I had a thought. Pacific Rim AUs were pretty common when GL was first coming out, and I was genuinely confused that there wasn't anything that mixed the both of them together. It seems like it'd be a fun idea, don't you think?
