Peridot is a naturally positively charged gemstone and is said to help the bearer of this stone follow their passions and dreams. It promotes clarity in your thoughts and  willpower. Not only its vibrant colour – caused by its high content in iron - is eyecatching to others, Peridot also is said to help with getting attention from others bordering on fame. Wearing a necklace with a Peridot pendant will improve a more optimistic state of mind and keep jealousy and envy at bay. This crystal is said to keep nightmares away and to bring happiness. The Crystals material use is of prosperity and abundance of money.

There is some uncertainty about the origins of the name. It may come from the Greek word “peridona” which means “to give riches”. It could also come from the Arabic word “faridot” which simply means gem. The French word “peritot” means “unclear”.

This gemstone also goes by the name chrysolite and historically speaking olivine. The name chrysolite comes from Ancient Greek and means “golden stone”. They called it that because the gemstone seemed to have flashes of gold in it. In ancient Egypt this stone was often worn as a pendant and was called “Gem of the Sun”. In ancient Rome this stone was known as “The Evening Emerald”.

Peridot is sacred to the Hawaiian Goddess Pele. Pele is the Goddess of volcanos and fire. She is said to have made the Hawaiian Islands. The Hawaiian beach Oahu , which has green sand covered in particles of olivines/peridot, supposedly is filled with her tears, due to the coloration and traces of peridot in the sand. [Authors note: It is forbidden to take any sand of this beach].

Gem Type: Conch Pearl

Placement: bottom of sternum 

Owner: Cinnabar

Weapon: Trident

Temperament: superior and salty, specifically to most other pearls and even some gems like peridots or those not from her court

Build/height: same height as a Lapis, though a bit thicker then your typical pearl. Leads some to think she’s defective or deformed when it really is just that she was made differently and isn't exactly like other pearls.

Outfit: A simple leotard with high legs and sheer tights covering her legs. Gloves that up to her shoulders and expose her pinky and thumb. 

It’s kind of silly when I think about it but I picked everyone’s gem by thinking of a ‘signature’ color that each character had (E.g: Kaiba - Blue) and looked for gems in those colors respectively. After that it becomes more detailed, with certain characters having gems that I felt represented them in a way while others were more part a group or something alike.

☆ Black Diamond ☆

I made something explaining her powers too but I want to talk a little about her palette first.

I know she is suppossed to be Black Diamond but fully black or with grey/white tones can make her look like a copy of White Diamond because they're both in black and white. Besides that I tried and she doesn't look that good.

I like the idea that she has her gemstone located on her chest because she doesn't think of the consequences of her actions.

So I went with more dark colors instead. More "night" colors. If she ends up being choosed (thing I doubt), you can change the palette or anything you dislike.

▪︎About the shadow manipulation (her power/weapon), I thought it was a good idea that it reversed the gems. Instead of them being made of light, it would reverse it and make them shadows, and only the hair and eyes would be white. The gemstones would keep Black's gemstone palette.

▪︎Instead of Black controlling them like White Diamond, Black would make them more animal like. Walking more hunched or even at four and not being able to make any sounds except grumbles. They're not able to comunicate properly but they understand each other and normal comunication.

Special stuff like wings would still be in their natural color since it's water and not light.

▪︎About their behaviour, they would be way more independent than a gem controlled by White Diamond. Instead, they can still walk around and be more independent but they would still be near Black Diamond and they would obey her orders no matter what.

You could see it like an ant queen and her little ant warriors.

Lime Pearl!

One of my first gemsonas, she was the leader of a revolution in an AU!

She looks cute and sweer but that appareance is a lie. She's serious, really serious. She takes things seriously and it's really hard to make her laugh.

Some info about that AU I barely remember about:

Lime Pearl used to be a model to promote rebel propaganda, that's how all started. A cute newspaper she did herself and with help of some gems, the propaganda slowed reached more gems. It was a silent revollution.

Gems were silent about it. They planned to stop the diamonds.

The diamonds, Brown Diamond and Sun Diamond (I don't remember more) planned to collect at the defective gems to destroy them. A high member of gem society knew this information and passed it to Lime Pearl.

They didn't have too much time to stop them. It was running away or fight them. And they weren't enough gems to fight. There was only two options:

Accept death or save as many gems as possible and then scape from Homeworld.

And so they did, thanks to a high gem that was on the revollution, they managed to fly away in a ship. Away to a distant planet, an abandoned colonization.
