Thought I'd do a pinned post as an intro for any new followers + general info
Hi! I'm pocket-gems, but Sok's the name. I like the SU universe a bit too much and I like to do designs and requests around it. My art aims to be as close as the SU style as possible, but note that it's not my actual art style! I just do it for fun. English is not my main language and sometimes I just don't care enough to fix stuff, so I thought I'd say that haha. I can be a very assertive individual and I genuinely mean no harm or to come out as angry, so please don't fear me too much.
Tumblr's tag system sucks, I store and organize all of my SU ocs on ToyHouse, where if a Gem type has been created, the tag system should make it show up. I also have gemsonas there!
There's also bases, unfinished and finished that can be found here! They're free to use and it's a large collection of bases for fusions, canon and non canon gems ^^
I do requests once on a while, and when they're open, you'll see a longer post with Da Rulez. Alternatively, you can always commission me, here's the info if you're interested! Want to draw them yourself but don't know how to draw in the SU art style? I have a very basic guide here!

• Ok with:
-Bases request (a skinny obsidian, a thick pearl, an opal base, etcetc)
-A fan fusion of canon characters (only canon characters! Be realistic tho, dont ask for a 10 fused-gems)
-Fan fusions of gemsonas (only my own tho, sorry!)
-Corrupted/Uncorrupted Gem designs (these may take a while tho)
-Random Homeworld Gem (note: any gem created as a request is one that i will keep, ok with doing fusions)
• Not Ok with:
-Literally anything outside the SU universe
-Turning *insert character* into a gemsona
-Custom Gem requests (just commission me for that)
-NSFW
• Want your Gems drawn? Know this first!
-I draw gems on a SU style, meaning that I change the design/proportions based of what I think would fit better. If you don't like this, don't request me. I enjoy explaining why I do certain changes, and if you're ok with it, go ahead!
-Only 1 gemsona per ask. If you're unsure of who to choose, its ok to send multiple, but please specify that fact! (Can be fusions, hybrids or single gem)
-Don't send multiple requests if you already sent a character. (1 month cool down until you can request again!)
-PLEASE share a fullbody, not just a bust.
-I HIGHLY encourage you to tell me stuff about your gemsona. Size, personality or whatever you think is worth sharing!
There is no time of delivery. I do this for free, any rushing will make me delete the request. Unless I forgot something, that should be all!

Amber's are one of few gems that can go through a growth period- Coincidentally, pearls- arguably biological in origin to some degree, Also have a growth period (does not apply to those made at the reef). Ambers develop their affinities for different topics at a young age, zipping around like a hummingbird across courtyards as they race to catalogue flowers. At this young, immature, and vulnerable state, their gems are softer and can still be slowly shaped manually with impressions of shapes or minor shape adjustments. Ambers have no set gem-shape and their bio-suspension powers come in early. As immature ambers, or Copals, live their lives, their gems naturally harden and darken from a sunny yellow to anywhere from a deep, rich orange, or to even a deep golden brown. They live for the thrill of learning, and dear god do they enjoy it.
These are Iridescence Diamond's, hers come out kinda like a fusion beteween mary poppins and ms cartman.

I know I'm not very active but perchance I may have returned to my musical roots and got myself an instrument. AKA: I don't think I'll have anything to post unless they're commission related, sorry!
Today I found out that beloved artifiziell's account has been deactivated. I wanted to share some of the art she shared with me that she never posted because I honestly think they're worth sharing with everyone.
Albite and Orthoclase unfinished regenerations. She was unsure of which pick was the best.
A discarded regeneration for Moonstone because the braid would obscure the back eyes.
Moonstone (unfinished) regeneration. She thought that something felt missing and she mentioned how she wasn't sure Mona fans would like her.
