Light’s borderline terrifying need for cleanliness is always irked by Misa. However, it does help him tolerate messes better when he lives with Misa because she is such a naturally disorganized person. It still drives him crazy, but it does help him fight the instinct to clean up the mess right that very second.

Misa promised Ryuk that there would be a crate of apples for him at her and Light’s wedding reception. Ryuk got so excited thinking about it he momentarily twisted himself up like a pretzel because just imagining that made him feel like he was going through withdrawals.

Light grew to love strawberries because of Misa. Every time he eats one, he thinks about the night in their apartment when she tried to seduce him with a plate of strawberries and a bottle of champagne. Needless to say, it worked.

Rem, who was suspicious of Light from the beginning, held a different opinion of Light than most people after realizing how pure his worldview was. Secretly, she thought that in time he would fall in love with Misa, the way she and Gelous had fallen in love with her. She was right.

Misa has a thing for doodling. She often doodles on notebooks in her spare time, and is actually quite good at it. One day, she finds herself doodling clothes for Light when he’s god of the new world and is elated when he approves of them. She created her own Kira fashion line.

Despite his demanding job, Light made time for Misa on the weekends. He always wondered why he couldn’t bring himself to kill her even though she had technically outlived her usefulness to him. It isn’t until they’re on a date in the park and she is disgusted by a man panhandling when he realizes that he’s never found somebody so much like him before and promptly tries to deny the feelings that that brings him.

Misa’s grounding touch is the only thing that can stop Light when he’s in one of his maniacal moods. If he starts laughing and looking as though he’s about to lose his mind, she’ll wrap her arm around him and promptly bring him back down to earth so that he could keep his head level.

Light has a bit of a Mommy kink. He had been groomed for success his entire life. Childhood was constantly a state of acting older. Especially after Sayu was born, being an example was drummed into him constantly. Childhood, as it pertained to him, ended at the age of eight. However, he wasn’t unaware of what he was missing. So, when he accidentally calls Misa “Mommy” in bed, he’s embarrassed. However, Misa says it’s fine, that everybody likes something a little different, and offers herself as a Mommy so that he could role play and find his inner child. It embarrasses him, but he enjoys having somebody to care for him every once in a while with no responsibility on his shoulders. Even God needed a day off every so often.

Misa and Light’s “song” (chosen by Misa herself) is “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman.

Misa always tells Light she loves him “From here to the moon and back!” so now whenever he goes outside and sees the moon he thinks of her and smiles a little.
