the stranger things fandom is by far the worst fandom i’ve ever seen/been in, in my entire life. the amount of ableism, homophobia, and racism from the ga and a lot of mileven stans is fucking insane. like genuinely why tf do they watch the show when it shows them that the villains are just like them?? they decide to watch a show that’s for outcasts and the marginalized, sees those types of ppl in the show get bullied and harassed for ts and then proceeds to do the exact fucking thing to ppl irl. the amount of times i’ve been called the f-slur for shipping byler is so insane. the way these ppl act is NOT normal and i genuinely can’t understand why they would continue to watch the show if they hate everything it stands for.
the people on stranger things twitter are actually some of the worst people i’ve ever seen before. you can’t enjoy any post about byler on there without some weirdo calling your slurs, being homophobic, or just hating under it.
this is exactly why it is very important for byler to be canon. these ppl need a wake up call and realize that this show is NOT for them.
after season 5 ends it is very crucial that the duffer brothers explain everything about when, how, and why they made byler a thing. they also need to make a statement calling out the bigots in the fandom and make it known that it was never for them. (and tbh if they don’t do that then they don’t actually stand for anything that they claim to)
