Born and raised in Las Vegas as the oldest son of Mr and Mrs Bennett. Him and his younger sister Rebecca were as thick as thieves all the way in their life. Whilst growing up, Gavin was amazed by the work his parents did, which always inspired him to join the military or the police force. 

As soon as Gavin was old enough he enlisted in the navy. Over the sixteen years he’s been serving, he rose to the position of Commander, mostly overseeing all the land missions. He specialized in search and rescue missions. He’s earned his scars over the year, but has always been proud to serve his country. 

He married his childhood sweetheart after his first tour and together they had a daughter named Malia. Tensions in their marriage grew the more tours Gavin was sent on, until one day he was called by his sister that his wife had left, leaving Malia in Rebecca’s care. Their divorce was finalized a year later. 

Gavin loves basketball, and plays some whenever he is home. His other hobbies are cooking and swimming. He also allows Malia to do his make-up and his hair and dance to single ladies afterwards

After having divorced his ex-wife, Gavin found it hard to get back in the life of dating and romance again, never quite making it passed the second date. Either they weren’t interested in someone deployed for months in a row or the fact he had a child. Other times it was him pulling the plug as they simply weren’t the type of person he needed in his life. 

When his sister Rebecca disappeared, Gavin made himself involved with finding her again – distributing folders, setting up search parties and calling police departments all over America. When she was found, it took him a long time to feel comfortable leaving her side again, even if that meant she would find him annoying and hate him for his clingy-ness. 

Deployed in Africa, Gavin and his team responded to a distress signal from a group of marines. As it was impossible to be pulled out from their position with a storm razing over the land, they and the marine survivors set up a camp for the night. It was a night what Gavin would describe as the one where a part of him died —The camp was attacked by rebels, leading to a short firefight that had ended in their disadvantage. The only reason Gavin had survived was due to the fact he was shielded by his best friend, Lieutenant Hoffman, who caught a bullet for him, and covered him as they lay on dusty African soil. Every night Gavin still has night terrors about being trapped underneath a body, drowning in velvet liquid while the eyes of death stared into his. 

Diagnosed with PTSD from that dreadful night, Gavin took time off from the Navy, which was approved by the board. Now he wants to focus on his family until he feels good enough to go back into the field again. To friends and family he manages to hide the lingering memories and dark thoughts, not really wanting to worry anyone he cares about. 

He makes furniture in his garage that he sells for his daughter’s college fund as well as takes up a part time job as a bouncer at Las Vegas clubs and casinos.
