we have the most important and best characters in all of homestuck! weird quirked trolls with being the most fun and interesting for the hiveswap team apparently i already hc that these two weirdos are buds in-game.
Gar wakes up to an extremely long text message from Jon, it takes up most of the screen and has no pauses. It's just a wall of text that makes little to no sense at times when reading, a giant mess of random thoughts with no beginning or end. It's from the middle of the night, like 2am. He replies "what" and a couple minutes later Jon texts back "I don't remember writing that.."
Jon being called Starboy as a teenager/young adult then it evolves into Starlight as an adult has me 😭
Also Gar's called Garlic Bread because silly

Hehe I can totally see Jon calling Gar garlic bread as a joke but then it just sticks. I wrote two drabbles about it bcs I miss the sunshine boyfriends so much 😭
Also I apologize for this being so late. Life got in the way.... but hey, better late than never right?
Gar picked up his husband's heartbeat, a small sigh leaving his lips before walking up to Jon, arms stretched out in a hug, "Cm'ere Starlight, Iet's lay down on the bed." The metahuman whispered as Jon started slowly walking over to him.
Jon sighed and practically melted into his husband, wrapping his arms around the green-haired man, "Gar, I wanna take tomorrow off. No hero work, just have a day all to ourselves." He whispered, voice muffled from Gar's sweatshirt.
Gar nodded slightly before turning to kiss Jon's head, "I'd love to, Starlight. Anything for you." They whispered before starting to untangle, "How about we go rest up?" They suggested softly.
Jon let out a small whimper, curling into his husband even more, "That sounds nice." He whispered before he started being led into their bedroom.

Jon raised an amusing eyebrow, "You sure you wanna do that, Garlic Bread?" He asked with a chuckle, arms on the counter, looking at his husband.
Gar blinked before opening and closing his mouth like a fish, stopping from pouring his cereal, "Starlight," Gar purred, "Did you just call me garlic bread?" They asked while slinking over to where their husband stood, one arm wrapping around his waist while the other rested on his chest.
Jon's face flushed as he look down at his husband, big doe eyes making his heart melt, "I-I just wanted to tease you, G-Gar bear. Y-You can do w-" he stuttered before getting interrupted by a kiss on the cheek.
Gar pulled back and began to purr, "Calm down, I like it, Starlight." They whispered before pulling away, going back to fixing their cereal.
Jon swallowed and blinked before focusing on Gar, slowly going up behind his partner, snaking his arms around Gar's waist and pulling him back softly, "You’re not off the hook yet, Garlic Bread." He grinned, teasing them with a grin.
Suddenly, Gar felt a kiss on their cheek and blushed, "Now we're even, babe." Jon smirked before burying his face in the crook of Gar's neck.
