Here's a little drabble, my darling 💋
Val was in the middle of explaining a mission when Bob realized it—you're not beside him. No, you're on the opposite side of the room, far, far away from him. He couldn't reach out and grab your hand or fiddle with your fingers. You weren't there to keep him grounded or snicker a witty remark in his ear whenever Alexei interrupted Val to shout something stupid.
Yeah, that would not do.
He got up from his chair and gulped when all eyes inevitably turned on him. Okay, maybe this wasn't as good of an idea as he thought it was, but it was already too late to turn back.
"You guys can just ignore me." He weaved his way across the room and nudged John's chair away when it eventually blocked his path to you. "Excuse me, nothing to see here."
He opted to ignore the glare John gave him.
Finally, you sat in front of him, and Bob didn't hesitate to bend over and pick you up. You yelped in surprise but ultimately settled into his arms with a shrug.
He trudged back to his place with you in his arms. He grabbed another chair, pulled it up beside his, and plopped you down in it without a single word. He then sat back down and reached out and grabbed your hand.
Okay, now everything was good.

HONEYED OAT BARS. (thick, chewy bars sweetened with honey)
PEPPERMINT HUMBUGS. (old-fashion boiled sweets that clear your sinuses and settle nerves before exams)
MOLASSES LOAF SLICES. (dark, sticky cake cut into thick slices)
FUGITIVE FRUITGUMS. (fruit-flavored gummy candy that tries desperately to bounce away and escape the whole time you’re trying to eat them)
JAM TARTS. (short-crust tarts filled with whatever fruit is in season—blackberry in autumn, rhubarb in spring)
SNOWDROP TRUFFLES. (dark chocolate truffles dusted with powdered sugar. they’re minty)
PUMPKIN SEED BRITTLE. (thin sheets of caramelized sugar packed with roasted pumpkin seeds)
WARMING FUDGE. (releases a gentle heat through your chest when eaten. popular in the wintertime)
BLACKBERRY SORBET. (ice cold and deep purple. so cold it’s only eaten in summer)
CUSTARD-FILLED DOUGH KNOTS. (soft, twisted buns with vanilla custard inside, dusted lightly with sugar)
GREEN TEA MINTS. (good for your breath and your nerves)
TURKISH DELIGHT. (floral, sticky cubes wrapped in powdered sugar)
MIST MACARONS. (often in pistachio, vanilla, raspberry and chai flavors. enchanted to feel exactly like biting into a cloud)
NEVER-ENDING NOUGAT. (no matter how fast you chew it, it lasts way longer than it should)
CANDIED HONEYCOMB. (airy candy, irregularly shaped and sold in paper cones)
PUMPKIN BREAD. (not just pumpkin flavored, but in the shape of a pumpkin, too)
may I ask your thoughts… the twins look a lot alike in face (aside from eye shape and scars) so their builds is their biggest difference and the reason they cannot make a switcheroo as easily like Lyney and Lynette do, but I raise you this– Lumine is not thin, she’s slightly chubby and her legs even more so. Aether is skinny as a twig at first glance but get closer and check out his broad shoulders! Basically they’re triangle shaped but reversed (Lumine: 🔺 Aether: 🔻)
