Reposted from @gargisplatter . . Today's lunch platter prepared by mom ❤ . . On my plate: 🌼Gororm Bhaat (Hot Steamed Rice) 🌼Lau diye Daal (Masoor dal with bottle gourd, just boil the dal with bottle gourd cut in chunks in a pressure cooker, next in a kadhai, heat oil, add panch phoron [cumin seeds, kalonji/onion seeds, fennel seeds, fenugreek seeds and ajmoda seeds in equal quantities], add one bay leaf, dry red chilli fry it for 1 minute, next pour the cooked daal and bottle gourd, add salt, turmeric powder, 2 to 3 slitted green chillies, little sugar, water as per desired consistency, allow it to boil a bit and it's ready) 🌼 Mocha er Ghonto (Bengali style Banana Flower/Banana Blossoms dry curry). 🌼Mocha er bhaja (Banana Flower fritters) Mocha er Ghonto is one of the traditional bengali preparation it can be cooked with fried prwans, dal er bora/fried lentil dumplings or with simply grated or chopped coconuts and goes well with rice/roti. Well cleaning and chopping of Banana Flower is time consuming and requires lot of patience. I will be sharing the recipe and the procedure of cutting it in my stories and will save in my highlights in case any one is interested ☺ #gargisplatter #mommadee #lunchscenes #lunchtime #bengalicuisine #bengalifood #bengali #bongfoodie #bong_foodlover #bongfood #gharkakhana #desifood #simplekhana #foodography #foodtalkindia #platinggoals #kolkatafoodie #kolkata_ig #kolkatastreetfood #foodstagram #mumbaifoodie #kolkatafood #moodisha #cookpadindia . .
