Zelda cry tears of gold for Ganondorf.
I work on several things at once, part 2 of Revali & Zelda for the princess's birthday arc coming soon. Along with others from pokemon. Thank you for your patience.
they are my otp in zelda games.
The gazebo stands on a tiny hill, one lone birch tree next to it. It looks haunted and so empty without its usual occupant dropping sugar into her tea and circling her teaspoon, out for more gossip, eyes glinting. The clinking of porcelain is another sound to its daytime symphony. For now, only cicadas and rustling leaves make up her company.
Zelda steps closer, circling the stone table set in the middle of it as she lets her fingers caress the carved patterns on it, registering every raised line. A nonsensical pattern to her, but according to Rauru it meant something – what, she had already forgotten again. Must have been something mundane.
„The Lady is also unable to find respite on this beautiful night?“
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A nightly encounter will change Zelda's and Ganondorf's fate forever, after months of looming around each other. The Blood Moon's rise plagues the mind after all.
Shade of My Enemy, Vol 2, Bare, page 98
In which the Princess speaks oh-so-softly…
I enjoy this light rendering style even though it’s a bit unforgiving. The calligraphic line is almost always a feature of my work but when paring down to as few as possible to let light fill the image, it’s tough to resist the temptation to rework - or overwork.
Fun fact: the background pattern is the linework for the front of the dower chest we’ve seen a few times now (and will again in volume 3 and 5 for certain. 4 is still having its script adjusted) I wrote a little more about the making of the chest in King of Shadows on Ao3. The prose version of SoME (also on Ao3) is now just two chapters behind these pages and gives us an opportunity to be inside Gan’s brooding head when we see the chest, and also to see it fresh through Zelda’s eyes.
Thursday posting has resumed at long last. Volume 3 is clipping along in production rather more slowly than it used to, but it is going at all, which is a small victory in itself. Note that the story will always be free to read online, whether a new page on Patreon or tumblr, or the prose conversion on Ao3 under the same title. The collected pages in order and by volume are available to all members (even free level) on Patreon.
In which an unusual argument ripens
Transliteration of the Geld’o in the last panel is “o va’rajena”, which is “oh my king”, with connotations of respect and honor, positioning the speaker as submitting to the authority of the subject and accepting in return his protection and benevolence.
Important lore notes on this page: in canon we are given that when the mortal host of a demon resists/rejects posesión and the demon persists against their will, both lose control over their Form and become a Monstrous Chimera as a physical expression of the conflict, and ultimately the transformation will kill the unwilling host, ejecting the demon back to spiritual realms, but until the host body breaks they can still do a great deal of damage.
